Grand Council of Madina,
My service to the Isle Republic of Madina as the Lord Admiral has been significant to the point that the realm has grown to a sovereign existence exerting diplomacy without any fear of invasion. I consider as my reward the City of Paisly and for that I am grateful.
As of late though, my oath to the Crown of Madina contradicts with my oath to those who have pledged loyalty to my seat, those whom I have to protect and satisfy. At this time, my service to the Isle Republic of Madina is more like a burden for all of my knights, something that hinders ducal prosperity of Paisly and expansion of our influence.
Unfortunate as it may be for those that will be left behind, it is a one-way path for the Knighthood of Paisly and the way leads to independence. Our swords will not ever clash, at least these are our intentions, peace will be sought with the Isle Republic of Madina and hopefully it will be preserved.
Hereby, I do officially declare the independence of the City of Paisly and I announce the foundation of peaceful sovereign realm at the western lands of Dwilight, the Enlighted Kingdom of Melodia; the Kingdom of Bards and Merchants, the Kingdom where the nighthingale warms the lonely nights.
