I believe now is as good of a time as any to set the law making portion of this House in motion.

Let us discuss the Right of Lords.

It is the Right of the Lord to decide what religions can practice in their lands and what guilds can operate. I think we all agree on this, however we have not discussed the rights of a Duke in this law. Does the Duke have the right to discriminate on religious grounds who they choose for lordship? Do they they override the Right of Lords in regards to their duchy?

Dear Lords,

Simplicity and intuition should guide our decisions in this matter.

It is widely understood that the exclusive privilege of constructing guilds and temples lies with the lords. There is no compelling reason to impose limitations on one of the key motivations for individuals to become lords rather than knights. The ability to govern a region implies the power to make choices that benefit and suit its needs.

Regarding the rights of dukes, it presents an intriguing perspective. Personally, I hold reservations about dukes imposing their religious beliefs on their lords. Considering the challenges we already face in attracting individuals to become lords, granting dukes such power may only exacerbate the difficulty of finding suitable candidates. We should carefully weigh the potential consequences before moving forward.

Let us prioritize simplicity and respect for the individual autonomy of lords while also considering the delicate balance of power within our ranks.

Yours faithfully,

Wassgandr Felsenbach

All opinions are welcome and encouraged. You all will decide the details of the presented laws, I'll just make them official.

Good Kenneth,

We will discuss your proposal for the next 3 days unless someone asks for an extension. Once the discussion ends, we will start a referendum(limited only to lords) to pass the bill or not. Once it gets passed, it will go to the Radiant Council. If the council does not decide to veto, the bill will become a law for you to enforce. While we discuss the bill, we should also decide what kind of punishment is suitable for breaching the law.

Greetings,

Currently when we talk about religious issues we are almost exclusively talk about issues with Astroism, isn't it?

Some thing may change during times of my absence, but I do remember well how much damage they made to all realms acting sharply. I even founded religion myself once upon a time, but these teachings were lost in time.

Astroists has all the interest to keep hostile relations, while we don't. Though it looks our faith is developing well and growing, I fear we will reach some point where we will be confronted with spiritual monster.

Therefore all attempts for diplomacy would be useful. For instance, we allow free preaching those faiths that do not spark hostilities within the realm or open some other door for potentially calmer solutions.

Viscount Munet,

We're talking about the Right of Lords, not Astroism.

I don't have such feeling, Magistrate.

Among all rights of lords we are focused on right of preaching, and the only current instance related to it, is Astroist's preaching in lands where they are possibly not welcome.

House of Lords,

Since nobody requested for an extension, we will vote on the bill. As soon as I reach Askileon, I will begin the referendum. As we agreed, the referendum will be 5 days long.
