House of Lords,

Let us take another step forward with our law making.

Let us discuss duels.

I believe dueling to first blood between Lurians is fine in peace time but should be illegal during wartime. We need every available noble while on campaign so any grudges should be resolved after peace is declared.

As for duels to the death between Lurians, I believe this should be illegal. I can't think of anything worse than killing a fellow Lurian.

Duels during wartime against our enemy both to first blood and death should be legal but with permission from military command. My thinking here is that duels are a matter of honor and to decline or hide from an enemies challenge makes Luria look weak in heart. In regards to permission, if a duel is issued before a siege we may not win then a loss on our side to a duel could make us lose or even cause the death of other Lurians. So I believe duels should be cleared by our general first, if we're not in desperate need of every point of cs then I don't see a problem with dueling enemies.

Please feel free to state your opinions and debate any points you see here or points others make.

Signed,

Kenneth Gotz

House of Lords,

I firmly believe that death duels within our realm should be unequivocally prohibited. In fact, I propose that anyone who suggests or challenges another to engage in such a duel should be promptly cautioned for even entertaining such a dangerous notion. The act of attempting to harm or kill a fellow Lurian is a grave offense that cannot be taken lightly.

If an individual has received a warning once and persists in their behavior, I suggest imposing a fine of 500 gold upon the noble in question. Should the noble continue to defy the warnings, a second fine of 1000 gold shall be imposed. If, despite having been subjected to two fines, the noble remains obstinate, we will be left with no choice but to exile them from our realm.

It is important to note that challenging an enemy noble during times of war presents a distinct circumstance that warrants separate consideration.

Sincerely,

P.S(3 day discussion begins this turn - Remaining number of turns = 6)
