The greatest land, Part 1

I am so excited!! Finally I got a region under my name! Not a simple estate anymore - An entire region! I am a Baroness after all!

I felt so anxious when I finally got the letter from Mistress Delia assigning me the Lordship of Dald, the newly conquered region in the south-east of Caelint. I immediately packed my belongings and got on my way to my new domain! I bet it is the greatest land ever! Filled with the precious perfume of flowers and grass fields, hard working labourers for me to place taxes on... You know, all the good stuff!

After I got my unit settled down on the provisory barracks, I got the newly recruited captain to chose some of the more skilled, bigger men and accompany me in the scouting of the land. We walked up and down, following the roads and paths, visiting settlements and the bigger village. I wouldn't let anyone hide any detail of the full greatness of my new outstanding domain!

...Or so I thought.

Bellerix:"Sieger, what do you think?" I asked the young captain upon returning to my manor, after dispatching my other bodyguards.

Sieger:"Er, Milady... I guess the region is fine..." He answered in an apprehensive manner, very insecure, visibly trying to not upset his first liege.

Bellerix:"FINE?! I hate this place!" I yelled, throwing my dirty boot to the other side of the room. "It is dirty, it stinks, there are no guildhouses, no marketplace, not even paved roads! The peasants are smelly and few, two thousand at best, my old estate had double that! It's no place for a dame like me! I was better off staying at the rainbow gardens back at Firbalt." I said, arms crossed, letting my body fall on the old armchair out of frustration.

Sieger:"B-but what about the Lordship? M-milady was so proud of that, talking about your brother..." The captain nervously said, trying to put me at ease.

My eyes enlightened with the statement.

Bellerix:"Oh, I completely forgot about that... My brother was so full of himself after getting his knight title, and also helping Arterix to set up the same position on our homeland..." I said, mostly to myself. "Mom and Dad were so proud of them. But when it was me, noooo! Let's let Little Bell work all alone to get the money and secure a position for herself. Now look at me! The first Lion-Head to get an actual Lordship status!!" I proudly said with my renewed pride. Then ran to my workstation awkwardly with only one of the boots on, thinking of how everyone's expressions would be after I rubbed that on their faces! Then I noticed captain Sieger still in the room.

Bellerix:"You got stuff to do, right? Go away." And so he left, with signs of a smile on that stupid face. He is a good kid.

Then, I quickly got to my workbench, settled some pen and paper to write a fine letter.

In Beluaterra people do not appear to be too keen for roleplaying, but I sure am. I never got a good introduction to Bellerix, but this one cuts the deal. Her arrogant, proud and yet naive & funny nature stole the spotlight for the moment. Unfortunately, there was not (yet?) a "Part 2" due to the tiny little fact that rogues took the region 2 days later... That is Beluaterra in a nutshell for you.
