Unexpected Response

Xarnelf stared in puzzlement at the short note sent from the Pontifex. It was the first response he had received since sending his letter three days past. Had Lord Orphen not read his concerned missive as of yet?

The young knight furrowed his brow as he looked over the words in his hands. Perhaps the Pontifex had been too busy with matters of politics to find time to send a reply. Sighing noiselessly in slight resignation, Xarnelf rose from his seat and moved to find his captain. He resolved to place his personal anxieties aside in light of the approaching troubles.

The call to arms had finally arrived; it was time for the noble to do his duty, in the name of honor, justice, and Taith Aenil.
