Larani

Larani was born and raised in the Theocracy of Alowca in the Colonies. After her parents died, Larani was brought up by nuns of the Trinity. Called from an early age to the service of Denariel, she vowed to emulate Her in life by taking on the path of a Heroine and Defender of the Faith. In time, Larani's purity, truthfulness, and a wisdom that belied her age, earned her the title of Haruspex Maximus, though she was only 21. Her life was filled with adventure and the fierce joy of doing what she passionately believed in, but it was far too short. Invading forces from three other realms besieged Alowca's capital, and there were many assaults, with day after day of fighting, in which she was always in the foremost rank. Finally, the young heroine, fighting on atop the smoking battlements long after all her followers had fallen, gave her life for her Faith.
