The records of the Fallen Heroes of Itorunt are chronicled here in the hopes that future generations will look upon this and respect those who placed their lives on the mantle of Itorunt, fighting the good fight until the end.

Alex Exiled

A great hero of Itorunt, Alex was the founder of the Itorunt Informer and it's chief editor. In his time in Itorunt Alex was the second in command of Itorunt's first Division. Proving himself to be a strong leader, he quickly gained favour amongst the other leaders of Itorunt, recommending a good number of other leaders to ascend the hierarchy, such as Valdid Juramona, Wilfred Fiddler and Blaine Donivan. Alex's efforts did not go unnoticed, making his voice heard in decisions on the council. Eventually the Arch Priest and Duke of Semall stepped down from his positions, and the High Marshal of Itorunt, Robert Chadwick, was named successor to the duchy of Semall. A few weeks later he was officially appointed. In a decision then given to the realm, Alex was chosen as High Marshal, one of his proudest moments.

Mere days later, Alex was slain defending the region of Igno against Caligan raiders. The battle report can be found here.

Alex stood with his men on the plain of Igno, irritated tat the Yssarians had never invested in building a wall around this townsland. It was now his job along with the brave soldiers he now stood and fought with to hold back the Caligan raids.

After a few moments of discussion with his fellow TL's, they spread out to meet the oncoming archers and infantry.

"Forward!" the cries of the Itorunt Cavalry came behind as they closed in on the enemies ranks, preparing to charge into the melee. The Infantry marched forward with a trained effciency that would be hard to find anywhere else, and Alex and his 9 archers raise their bows and shot their arrows towards the caligans.

The archers re nocked some arrows, and prepared to loose another round, but just as they did, the Caligan archers had found range and loosed volloeysof arrows towards him and his men. 4 fell under the arrows and Alex buckled, with an arrow through his thigh. Still he was not felled. As his men looked to him he shouted "keep fighting!" Another exchange of arrows, the Caligan ranks had been wrecked by the rampaging Cavalry but as Alex fired his last arrow he looked up, and the world seemed to slow down...

The arrow cut through his thin armour, piercing his neck, and as his men fell around him he struggled and fell, and the Itrount forces ranks ahed suddenly broke and scattered... he tried to shout to them to fight on but they were eventually overcome... And then the world faded.

Krunkh Scarfist

A brave hero of Itorunt, who fell soon after Alex, in Scio, a region that Caligus was trying to subjugate.

We remember him for the great man he was - one who lived for loyalty and honorable combat, lived to command his men into combat - though he did want to see then end of the war when vengeance was dealt.

Garrick Dumeric

A Legendary Hero of Itorunt, Garrick, spent most of his career in Itorunt on the frontline. He served as second in command for various different battle groups, and never strayed far from the battle. Near the end of the war with Perdan, Garrick was appointed the region commander of Dayr. Realizing that the badlands region would never offer much to the realm, Garrick decided to turn it into the realm's penal colony. He spent three months overseeing the construction, then started the task of rehabilitating those sent to Dayr for their crimes. The result was one of the finest Mixed Infantry centers Itorunt had ever seen.

Garrick was soon after appointed Banker of Itorunt. He saw to setting the food distribution to better aid their close ally Ibladesh and distant friends like Sirion. Things were going well, but Garrick began to long for combat once more. It had been nearly a half year since he had last seen significant battle. When the opportunity arose to snuff out the last haven of the Avamarians, Garrick jumped at the chance. After many days of marching, Garrick and the Armies of Duke Robert along with the armies of Perdan set out across the sea to Chaos Temple. Bad weather and worse luck cause the armies to be separated at sea causing many units to be delayed for the battle.

Garrick's and his men were among the first to arrive, and despite the unfavorable odds fought bravely against the holed up Avamarians. The battle started and there was little hope for the outnumbered allies. Garrick led his men to the wall and attempted to cover the retreat. As the last of the allied units were fleeing the field, a stray arrow caught Garrick in the back as he struggled to carry one of his wounded to safety. He died before the healers ever had a chance to save him.

A funeral was held in Semall, and at his family's request his body was sent back to Atamara to be buried at the family estate in Clyderee, Carelia.
