The Icewalker Family hails from the cool forests of Flismar located on the eastern coast of the East Continent. The Icewalker family line and history is a bit sketchy due to the smiting of the God Tom upon the Sirion of old and to the plundering that took place later at the hands of Oligarch and Avamar.

Legend has it that the Icewalker clan began with Ibeiruq, the only daughter and child of Ataniq, the chieftan of a small village in Flismar. It is said that a young traveler, Agaayun, appeared one day during a blizzard, walking into a tavern to escape from the wind and snow. While staying at the village tavern he happened upon Ibeiruq and was taken in by her beauty. Once he had gazed upon her, Agaayun had no further desire to continue his travels. His only desire from that day forth was to have her hand in marriage.

Even after several months among the villagers, there was still not much known about Agaayun. He still appeared as a stranger to the villagers and they didn't trust him very much. He seemed to hold both great wisdom and great darkness all within a single soul. And this perhaps is what troubled Ataniq the most.

Though Agaayun was asked to be on his way by Ataniq on several occasions, Agaayun refused to leave because of his love and devotion for Ibeiruq. So Ataniq devised a series of trials to test the strength and will of Agaayun. If Agaayun succeeded in the trials, he may have the hand of Ibeiruq in marriage. If Agaayun failed, he would not only lose Ibeiruq, but also his life. Boldy and without delay, Agaayun accepted the challanges.

Agaayun's first trial was to travel into the Tuunbaq Forest for a hunt. Many men from the village feared the forest. Though it contained the best hunting grounds in all of Flismar, it was also home of the Iggabri. Any man that ventured into the forest had never returned. Agaayun was instructed to find the Iggabri and to return with its head. After only 3 days of waiting, Agaayun, did indeed return from the forest. He did not look as if he had been in any struggle, but yet, in a sack strewn across his shoulder laid the head of the Iggabri. The villagers rejoiced over the opening of the forest for hunting and the demise of the feared beast.
