Hughes Family
Family Background
The Hughes are a noble simple family from the Cagilan Empire, on Atamara. Their original home region is the grand city of Skalk, on the border between the Cagilan Empire and Carelia. They are not a young family but they are not an ancient one, too. They go back some generations and are well-established in Skalk, although they do not hold any important position within it. They could be classified as part of the non-landed nobility. They are not especially wealthy, but have more than enough to live in great comfort. Despite the latter fact, they are a hard-working, respectable and honourable family.
Ricardus Hughes
Ricardus Hughes is a 19 years old Knight. He is one of the youngest family members. As such, he tends to be one of the most moderate, cherishing the traditional values of chivalry, while being a practical and sharp individual, who can understand the basic intricacies of politics. Surprisingly to many on his family (and perhaps on his own realm), he would hesitate over sacrificing himself promptly for any cause. He would first evaluate if it would be worth it and what the potential impact. Unfortunately, he is somewhat inexperienced in the world of politic, but his family expects much of him, since he is the only Knight on the family. The other chose a trader career. He currently is on his home realm, the Cagilan Empire, waiting for his first great war, while learning all that he can
Gregory Hughes
Gregory Hughes is somewhat older (20 years old) and slightly more experienced man. He is essentially a practical man, more gifted with the practical things of life, like finances and commerce. But due to having been educated on a family like this one, he also tends to be a man who guides himself by the basic values of chivalry and nobility. He is currently on another continent: East Continent, in the realm of Yssaria, because he wished to pursue the career of trader, but he is finding that this career is somewhat difficult to start with. He is considering emigrating to another continent, with a trader guild or association.
