Aramon smiled as he entered the grove. The corpse that had once been the hated Korvian Shadowbane, late of "Alara" and their so-called "Justiciar", hung by hooks buried in it's shoulders. The hooks were connected to a thick wooden shaft that ran under Korvian's clothes, which was itself was driven into the ground. The effect it gave was that the corpse, which had been carefully posed, was a living man standing with his head bowed, instead of something dead.

Two bound and gagged men stared around the grove wild eyed. They were the preliminary entertainment. As the sun faded behind the trees a brazer of coals was brought into the grove and sat nearby while Aramon motioned for the first to be brought before him.

"Kisanak of Itorunt you have been charged with subversion of the Xerarch and inciting treason. You are found guilty. You are to be blinded and then beheaded. This is binding arbitration and cannot be appealed."

The man screamed into his gag while Aramon's men forced him to his knees, and his screams became tinged with pain when the iron was drawn from the brazer and quickly shoved into his eye. He thrashed against his bonds as his other eye was burned out, but Aramon's men held him steady. His heels beat a staccato rhythm against the ground as his head was separated from his body with a merciful sword strike from the Arbiter. The body was dragged out of the way to the edge of the grove while the second man was pulled before Aramon. The Arbiter grunted, noticing a splotch of blood on his boot, and wiped it in the grass before he spoke.

"Domicus of Itorunt you have been charged with subversion of the Xerarch and inciting treason. You are found guilty. You are to be blinded and then beheaded. This is binding arbitration and cannot be appealed."

Aramon's men descended on the poor man, quickly burning his eyes out while the giant fussed with the blood on his boot again. Irritated the Arbiter absently severed his prisoner's head with a blow that sunk his saber several inches into the mossy ground.

As the second body was disposed of, along with the bothersome blood spot, the Arbiter turned his attention to the main event. Aramon was unsure of how Korvian Shadowbane had died, the leeches and bonesaws had found no obvious cause for his death. Perhaps the fear of what awaited him in the Arbiter's infamous dungeon had caused his heart to stop. No matter, living or kissing painted Daimons in the Abyss, he would not escape binding arbitration.

"Korvian Shadowbane of Itorunt you have been charged with many crimes, including but not limited to subversion of the Xerarch and inciting treason. Do you deny these charges?"

Aramon paused dramatically, as if waiting for an answer, before speaking again. "Let the record show that the accused remained silent, and thus affirms his guilt. Korvian Shadowbane you are found guilty. Your head is to be separated from your shoulders and placed atop the army banner of the Steele of Xavax, to serve as warning to those who dare oppose the Imperium by force of arms. Further, your flesh shall be flayed from your bones and your bones transported to a local grist mill, where under the stones therein they are to be crushed to fine powder. Your flesh will be fed to a local pin of hogs, and those hogs once the finish eating will be burned until ash. This ash and powder will separately be spread to the four winds, thus insuring your body's utter dissolution. This is binding arbitration and cannot be appealed." The arbiter made a motion to his men, "The execution is to be carried out immediately."
