It's hard to believe that Alanna would let me leave like this, but I suppose it does get rid of me for a bit and the information I send back could be potentially valuable to the realm as a whole. Though this doesn't prove that she is ready for her position, but it does help her cause a little. In time she might make a worthy military commander, but that has yet to be seen.

Regardless, this gives me a chance to go out and see the lands, and I do it with official orders of the realm even. Just got to make sure my men don't die on me. The last thing I need is to get some twenty regions out and have no men left under my command. Then again, I hear there are a number of commoners in this land who sail the major trade routes between the larger cities, perhaps if all else fails I'll just commandeer a ship or two.

To make things easier on myself, I think I'll take the liberty of naming the various regions of land I come across, starting with the lands immediately around Pian en Luries. The Poryan Plains sounds like a good fit for them. To the North I've heard of a grand mountain range with an old fortress known as Balance's Retreat, this I'll call the Balance Mountains after the fort they encompass. Off to the west, where I'll be heading, there is a grand desert the likes of which few have ever seen. I hear the locals call it the Desert of Silhouettes, so Silhouette Badlands is very fitting for that region.

Eventually I plan to travel to a grand continent to the west of this one that the locals sometimes speak of. I know very little of that land, even the libraries in Poryatown had little on that subject. Between here and there though a number of islands are depicted in various books. A large number of these are likely too small to note, but a few were said to have cities apon their shores. Perhaps I might visit these in my journeys, I do not know.
