Mustering up the courage, Pandora turns around in a frantic hurry after receiving report. Her gaze met straight to the floor while raising her voice, which ended up being only as loud as the distant machinery,

“We will be heading towards Perdan, prepare yourselves for battle!”

Her men stayed silent for a moment, then looked at each other in disbelief. They begrudgingly agreed. You can hear two men in the back let out a small laughter who were quickly shushed by the rest of the infantry. Pandora’s face glowed bright red, and silence occupies them along the journey instead.

Enrolled into the army by her lord liege, he shared with Pandora newfound words of encouragement. She tried to conceptualize a world where her small stature would not be the downfall of commanding a small infantry, but was unsuccessful. Surely being taller would have people take her more seriously.

On her travel along the river stream with steam-engines in the far distance, she could make out Perdan. The city lion gates were towering over Pandora and her unit despite being several hours apart. The busy carts traveling through the gates were lined up, all filled with sacks of wheat and other assortments.

Traveling towards the gates, she tried to make out the faces of nearby travelers, hoping she had not been the only newly enrolled noble headed towards Perdan to meet up with the Blackmane Paladins.
