Tharan Speaks OUT!!!!

DISCLAIMER this interview is near one month old and do to the raging war i have only now had time to print it to the good people of Atamara.

1) To start high marshal, you replaced Lord Siverowl, a widley respected general in Carelia, and the lands of Atamara, do you expect to have the kind of success we saw from him? Well, your first question doesn’t give me much confidence. Off course, in my dreams I will see myself marching in the same parade with Generals like Silverowl, Harpy, Halden etc. In reality, my only objective is to secure Carelian borders and protect its villagers. History and other nobles will have to tell my story in the future.

2) Accusations fly heavily from the differing edditorial boards of the various newspapers, one claiming that carelia does nothing but wait for our allies to do the heavy lifting, could you adress this? There is a holy triangle between : tactics---braveness---foolishness. All three are very close with each other. Let’s take an example : The Battle of Bolgar. Off course Carelia’s Army (12k CS) didn’t attack a 24k CS force of Abington. Instead, we set up a trap with 19k CS of Carelian and Cagilan troops in Bolgar. Abby moved into Bolgar with their 24k. CE/Carelia had another 10k CS as reserves in Cummaol; Those re-enforcements moved into Bolgar at the right moment. Finally, the battle in Bolgar had been victorious (24k-29k). Please tell me: who had been the most brave, and who the most tactical, and who had been the foolish one?? I don’t know the answer. All I know is the alliance did very well that day.

3) it has been accused that we should halt this war claiming we are causing "blood, death and destruction...not just to your enemies but yourselves..." what is your take on these statements made? is there any validity in it? “Blood, Death and Destruction” will not be guaranteed when Carelia stops fighting : Remember, Abington had been burning down our undefended shrines and they had assaulted our innocent Prince Morpheus. They won’t say sorry about that, just because we will sent out Lady Yavanna for a voluptuous mission to kiss Abby’s King on his cheek. Personal, I had been deeply touched – in a negative way - by Abby’s actions, and I would have liked to see it different. Alas, They threw the dices and that’s today’s reality : Kill or Be Killed. For me, this reason is valid enough to defend ourselves.

4)Brings me to the question on every ones mind, how goes the war? what are its goals…? The war goes considerably well. We may not forget that Abby and RedSpan are tough enemies. Everyone who will tell the Sad Story about four Realms are fighting two Realms : In the beginning they had almost the same mobile CS as the alliance did. I admit that we have had a little bit more, but don’t forget that Talerium and Cagilan Empire needs weeks to refit. During this refitting time, The Big Army of Abby is twice as much as Taran’s and Carelian armies together (not even spoken of RedSpans army at the first weeks of the war). Although we have cracked RedSpan forces in the first two campaigns, Abby is still the strongest Realm at Atamara.

5) is there some stated goals that would determine whether Carelia can claim victory you would be willing to share? The moment that our North-East and South-East borders are secured, I will call it a victory in a military point of view.

6) How long do you expect this war to take…? That’s a political question in the first place. The moment our beloved King will give me the order to stop all military actions, the war will be over. From a pure military point of view : If the facts won’t change, I will estimate to achieve our objectives within 3-6 months. Again, Abby is not a weak, poor or Pitiful Realm; It’s a great, big, rich and powerful Realm with a Hugh army who had decided to hate us and they are bordering our Regions.

how could one argue such logic?

Revolt in Abington!!!

fed up with the current government of Abington, Spiritmonger, Duke of Riverholm has led a successful (thus far) revolt against the tyranical leadership of Abington. Whether or not this revolt succeeds long term is irrelevent as to it points to the larger problems in Abington and how the war goes. A chink in the armor of once mighty nation has been found, now only by brute force can Abington quell this secession. As Abington has already declared war against the new nation and their wanting of a peaceful life. Silent on this, is the once great nation and its serpentine leaders. More on this sure to follow as the cooler heads in Abington never prevail.

Alliance pulls the "hat trick"

Battle in Atblane Abington, RedSpan vs. Cagilan Empire, Carelia, Talerium, Tara 27k CS vs 28k CS

The alliance two days ago claimed three victories over the Aggressors, Abington, and their satellite state "Redspan." With the main battle taking place in Atblane with Carelia admittedly adding only a symbolic force to the battle. We in Carelia hail the efforts of the Alliance giving praise to our friends and their well fought hard earned victory, 2 minor battles also fought that day giving the Alliance a three victory day, the "hat trick." We at Carelia would like to thank Abington and byproxy "Redspan" for their participation. August 10, 2007

In defense of the King

Due to recent slanderous attacks by "nobles" of Abington i feel compelled to answer these fabricated stories. In a "news" article published recently named, Kronos crudity, several charges have been leveled against Carelians King. I shall here rebuke this silly article and expose it all for what it is, a sham no serious journalist or even ethical peasant would dare utter. But then this is Abington "nobles" doing the talking. to begin...

Kronos of Carelia has never been accused of being a well-educated fellow. Nevertheless, the editors of the Abington Account can hardly believe the depths he is willing to stoop to in the ongoing pursuit of power. If one is to believe that Kronos is stupid, one must follow that statment to its logical conclusion. If kronos is stupid as the authors suggest and kronos is masterfully handing Abington defeat after defeat what exactly does that make the ruler of Abington? whether it is through diplomatic prowess or as some would sugest through military power, Kronos is wise enough to put crafty and cunning men such as Tharan in charge of the military to send defeat after defeat to Redspan and Abington. Some may argue that any successes had by Carelia is only due to its allies, you must still credit King Kronos with his masterful diplomatic skill. Knowing who your true allies are and enemies would be, is the mark of a great leader, not how big your stick is.

First, it must be reiterated that under Kronos's leadership, Carelia betrayed the Federation, simultaneously declaring war on both Abington and Redspan. While Abington, under Armitage III, mercifully granted a second chance to Kronos, Kronos used that time to form alliances with Tara, Talerium and CE - see section on being smart, and great diplomacy above.

Kronos's justification? A single comment made by Gauihu, who was Arch Priest at the time, expressing his opinion that Carelia should be "wiped off the map." This comment was made after the betrayal by Carelia, and yet it is held up as some kind of "reason" for that same betrayal! Furthermore, it is currently the only reason Kronos has to attack Redspan - and that makes about as much sense as time-traveling opinions by the Arch Priest of Abington.

oh, how it must be to live in this world. what do you call your planet exactly? Redspan invaded Carelia, after numerous pleas by our humble king, still the invaders attacked, first they kill our militia! we do nothing but plea into the gale to stop this madness and withdraw the troops from carelia land, many a family wept for fathers and brothers that would not be returning, we sent envoys of peace led by true nobles of Carelia to investigate the rumors that redspan was invading and killing Carelian men, only to have those nobles attacked! Finally Kronos had to put his friendship with goat lovers in the past and kill the invaders! how short memories we all have when it doesn't suit are liking. Moreover, this Whipe of the map opinion made by the Arch priest, who by the way was imedeatley placed in leadership was not some small comment, it was in a policy debate whether to invade Carelia now, or wait for a better time, let us not kid ourselves here.

Although it's important to note that Kronos is being "disrespectful" to foreign rulers - on a level of crudity (referring to "balls," and outright calling them "stupid") only matched by his crudity towards foreign realms en masse - Abington has not reciprocated the stance of "Hatred" that Carelia now shows for them. While Kronos, based on his personal pride, may be willing to declare that all Abington is "evil," Abington chooses to believe that there are indeed noble, reasonable and rational lords and ladies within Carelia.

As i am sure there are good people in both nations we are to defeat, contact Kronos when your nation no longer exist and you will find a most forgiving king, this by the way is his GREATEST fault! He is much to forgiving for my tastes.

In closing, many of you underestimate our great king because he is has not spoken the common tongue of the noble for so long, you see this as him being dumb, he uses that perception to beat your nations into a bloody pulp. Next time your dealing with him, "think intelligent thoughts, and he is much easier to understand" silly Abby leader. Zerric Zorrath August 2, 2007
