The Public Deserves The Truth!

Change of editor

In recent events, the editor of this Carelia Times has disappeared. As it is, the newspaper will be edited by me, Donovan Kessler, a noble and knight of Carelia. Currently, I'm searching for a partner to make this paper even better. Also, I/we hope to improve the paper to an even better one so that we can give good and up-to-date information about Carelia. Let's make this paper a success. The public deserves to know!

Changes in the Council

A new Banker has been chosen. The former Banker of Carelia, Sir George, the only Banker Carelia has ever had, stepped down to give others a chance to hold the position and expand their knowledge. The second Banker for Carelia is now Lady Yavanna that was chose by King Kronos himself. Keeping with the tradition of a council member only holding 1 position, the new Duke of Strombran is now Sir George, former Banker of Carelia. (due to Lady Night Elf's injuries during a battle) Lady Night Elf was granted the position of Countess of Kilbranba.

Some sort of civil war

During an unexpected moment, King Kronos and General Harpy had a arguement with each other. Though the details were supposed to be confidential, they were eventually leaked to the public. This also has caused many other nobles and knights to quarrel with one another. Due to this, the King had the name a new general. The current general is Sir Silverowl, a veteran knight of Carelia who has helped Carelia so much in the past. For the causes of stripping Sir Harpy's position, Sir Harpy and a few have demanded a re-election as the King was being unfair as what the people have described. An election will soon take place.

One after another

A problem has again uprise once more. This time, a rebellious has uprise against the current government. The leader of the rebels is the Lord of Tarree, Sir Malachite. He contacted with Tara and several others for this (of what he apparently said). His purpose his due to the King's "madness" of what he is describing.

A message by the rebel leader:

Lords and Ladies,

We have been lead by a power hungery, backstabbing maniac! He removed the greatest general we have had from office, and his past and family shows a history seeped in evil! I want a new age, of glory and light. An age to flourish and grow. I will bring about the golden age! Our realm has become small and weak! I will restore its glory! Come join me, brothers and sisters, and help me make this new world!

Now the fellow Carelians have a choice of taking their shields or take arms against the current government.

Rebellious failed without a challenge

Although that the rebellion isn't over yet, the loyalist may claim victory over this. The foolish act by the rebels without proper planning of any kind and without a valid reason failed this rebelion actually. Not only did the rebels didn't have enough people (a total of 2 person only) but also they foolishly, start the rebellion outside of the capital. It can be declared that the loyalist has won. Let this be a lesson to all.

Tara sighted in Carelia

The rebelion had failed with the rebel leader fleeing, last seen in Atblane. Another problem is yet to come. Tarans were spotted in Tarree, the land of Carelia. A small skirmish between Carelia and Tara occured at Tarree. Few Carelians were wondering the appearance of Tarans in Tarree. Perhaps soon, another war will come in hands of Carelia once more.

Won a great battle but attending a friend's funeral

After the battle in Tarree, the Tarans forces has rallied in Craigmore for some reason. Upon receiving tax, the fellow Carelian had made their move back to Tarree and attack Craigmore. The forces of Tara were overwhelming the army of Carelia. Little that they know, our tactics were in good order and well planed. Since that, Carelia had won this battle against a much stronger army. Sadly, after the battle, everyone had realise the losses in this battle. Lying down on the battlefield. Motionless, laid, Sir Hylda of Carelia. We may have won a good battle but we have now lost, a good friend and warrior.

Peace Treaty

A peace treaty have been succeed after long struggle just a few days ago. A peace treaty between Carelia and the Cagilan Empire has finally archived. Currently, a peace treaty between Tara and Carelia is under discussion. May this be the best interest for Carelia and her fellow Carelians.

Unknown Situation

Carelia has dispatched an army to Craigmore against Tara. Upon arriving, neither any of the soldiers wants to fight. Everyone gathered at their own sides but neither any of them could move nor fight. Both Taran and Carelian was seen from each other side doing nothing. Perhaps something have angered the High Gods or maybe a curse was atone for some reason.

Finally??

The battle of Craigmore had finally been fought and finished. Both realm of Carelia and Tara had both fought well and had a honorable battle indeed. Even I had fun! Having Carelia winning in Tara's land has surely boast our fellow Carelians.

Peace with the north

Carelia have once again archived in diplomacy. Peace with the north is surely a good way to describe the success of Carelia in this diplomacy. Everyone has been informed that Carelia have made peace and goes into alliance with Ash Sea Island and Falasan as well as Minas Ithil. A peace treaty with Tara is also being under progress with harder way to reasoning. Also in the the side news, Carelia has launched a Hostile Takeover on Craigmore belonging to Tara. Apparently, Craigmore was once Carelia and us Carelian refuses to hand it over to Tara. That is when the problem started.

Alerting all readers

The Carelian Times for this month of October is about to finish soon. I as the editor, is calling all readers and also editors of other newspaper, for comment on this month's newspapers (it may be simple and without a date but oh well). For the editors of our allies in Carelia, I would like to ask help from the editors to help me upgrade this newspaper and make it a even better one (the templates for side reading notes or such to make the newspaper interesting, example : King's opinion, editor's opinion, etc). I can guarantee a story and latest infos of the high and lows of Carelia. If you can help, this paper can be highly info mated and can possibly be top notch newspaper with all the sight seeing of what Carelia is doing and their neighboring realms as well as allies doing. I'm accepting any opinions in the discussion section of this newspaper and comments. Hope to get your supports in any way. It will be a great help (since I don't know much about templates).
