MONSTERS RAMPAGE IN KILBRANBA!
Monsters are continuing to rampage in the fair province of Kilbranba. At least 21 peasents have been eaten and many more are missing. Will these foul beasts never cease to plague our lands?
EDITOR INJURED IN BATTLE!
We apologise unreservedly to all our readers but our editor was injured in battle and is currently uncincious, whilst he will make a full recovery he will be unable to edit this newspaper for a few days and as a result there will be no more news items here for 24 hours. Dated 27 August.
CAGILAN EMPIRE BEATEN OFF IN CLYDEREE!
Finally a victory. This morning, after a brief battle in Clyderee, the Cagilan forces were sent running by our disciplined troops. Perhaps the tide of this war is beginning to change.
CAGILAN EMPIRE ATTACKS CANOCK
The majority of the forces used by Cagilan to attack Forblane have now moved into Canock defeating our defenders. Leaving behind 200 men to defend Forblane, they now stand poised at the gates of Strombran. The situation proves dire indeed, but with noble heart we will triumph!
CAGILAN EMPIRE ATTACKS FORBLANE
Terrible news, a huge force of Cagilan soldiers invaded Forblane, outnumbering our brave defenders 40 to 1 they easily defeated our forces. They now have 1629 men in Forblane and are poised to strike wherever they choose. This is a dark day for Carelia but we must never give up.
VICTORY IN DONTOW!
Today the forces of Carelia won a mighty battle against the Cagilan Empire, defeating them in battle and liberating Dontow. After a three hour battle between 713 men on Carelia's side and 587 men on the side of the Cagilan Empire. The battle ended with Cagilan nobles either dead or fleeing the field. Just as news of this triumph spread it emerged that our forces in Taree had defeated attacking Taran forces. Great was the rejoycing throughout the realm as news of our twin triumphs spread.}}

Special report from Hamish McHaggisbasher Me and me men have been huntin' up an' down th'glen for wild haggis. But in recent times we have noticed that there's alot more of the wee blighters than there used to be. So I was asked to write this article to tell people aboot the dangers of the wild haggis and wot yee can do to protect yourselves. First the wild haggis is a cunnin' enemy, it hunts in packs of up to twenty haggis! They like to prey on lone travellers, if you think or if you know you're bein' hunted by haggis you should imediately GET TO HIGHER GROUND! Your best chance is to kill the leader of the pack, who can be identified by the fact that he's wearing the tartan. If haggis have been sighted in the area you should start playing the bagpipes which were invented to drive away haggis. Alternatively, you can get together a band of specially trained haggis hunters which go out to cull the local population. They kill the haggis by wrestling them to the ground and bashing them with their clubs. And remember if ever a haggis attacks the best defence is to boil it and serve it up for tea. |
FORWARD!
With the attack on Forblane failing to occur our troops are now marching to Dontow to engage the forces of the Cagilan Empire in glorious battle. Preliminary report indicate that there are 581 enemy soldiers in Dontow. We will bring more infromation on the situation as it develops. We conclude with: To death or glory!
Attack Imminent!
It apperas that Taran and Darkan forces are massing in our former province of Craigmore with 18200 men. Once again Tara proves how dishonourable it is by paying others to fight for them. Our troops are preparing to defend Forblane to the death. The mood in Carelia is grim with many nobles predicting that this is an invasion planned to wipe us out. In addition to this, this newspaper has learned that the still loyal inhabitants of Craigmore are starving to death. This editor hopes that after the Battle for Forblane we will be able to free our loyal citizens in Craigmore. This editor would also like to say that this report may be his last since he is currently dug in in Forblane and may die in the coming battle. He would also like to say that it has been an honour and a privelege to fight for Carelia and edit this newspaper.}}
Taran Agressors Beaten Off By Carelia
After a fierce battle in Taree Taran forces were beaten off by our brave warriors. There was rejoycing throughout Carelia as news of the battle spread across the land. From what this newspaper has learned 1000 Carelians held the line against 1000 Taran invaders. During the battle the Taran noble Kristain (Knight if Foda, Tara) was seriously wounded. This battle is surely the first of many victories we will win against our enemies.!
