Calanar Family/Scion/Scion's Proposal
(OOC: The RP is between Scion and Laura. I left out the parts of who sent what and edited them a bit so it flows smoother.)
Scion searched the only small woodland area in Paplarmi for Laura, and found her relatively quickly. The first thing he did was pull her into his arms and give her a long kiss. Finally he he backed away and looked at her. His face turned a bit more serious than usual, and he looked stragiht into Laura's eyes.
~Laura was very happy to see Scion around once more. It had been some time since the last time they were met for only passing their time in private, doing nothing more than socialising and relaxing. She grinned as she saw him approaching.~
"Like I said earlier. We need to talk."
With an arm around her he led Laura to a place where they could sit next to each other, and Scion took Laura's hands in his. He started talking with a soft smile on his face.
"When I first met you, never in my wildest dreams would I have ever expected things to turn out this way. I've stood by you through everything, as much as possible, but these realm difficulties have had me thinking about our relationship..."
~Laura's face became straight. She lowered her head and looked at the ground. Her hand started shivering and her heart was beating faster and faster. "That's it..." she thought and a tear shaped on one of her eyes but didn't drop.~
Scion let go of one of Laura's hands and brushed the tear away.
"Don't cry."
He leaned in and gave her a short kiss. After he separated from her he sighed.
"I have no idea how to say this..."
He paused to think over his words carefully.
"Laura. I love you more than anything, and you are the only woman I want to be with."
Another pause before he continued.
"Unfortunately current circumstances are trying to separate us. I want to work through this."
He finally reached into his pocket and pulled out a small ring box.
"I've thought about it for a while, and I was going to ask you sooner or later..."
He placed the box in her hand and he closed her fingers around it. He looked down as his face was a bit red. He mumbled to himself for a moment.
"I've gotten this far..."
Finally he looked her in the eyes and was able to speak.
"Laura. I don't care about the distance between us. I only want to know one thing. Will you marry me?"
~Laura could not believe in her ears. Marry him?! She had never thought of it.~
"Whoa! Scion, you really... sur... prise... me..."
~She became hesitant.~
"I mean that... I have never thought of it... I love you... But... My love... I don't know... What does this gift is?"
~She opened the box in her hands.~
Scion frowned for a moment as she opened the box with the ring.
"I'm sorry. Did I offend you?"
It wasn't the right time. Why was he so nervous? This was only the toughest thing he'd ever tried to do.
"I didn't mean right away... Just...in time... You know I love you."
He tightened his hold on her hand a little a bit.
"I mean...right now, is just difficult, but...I was hoping...maybe..."
~Laura opened the box and she saw a ring. She turned at Scion and listened to his confused mumbling. She approached him and kissed him passionaly for enough time for her to close the box and hand it back to Scion.~
"Take it and cash it. I love you and material world means nothing to me. I feel a Princess, while I have no property at all. This is who I am; a silly, dreamy young woman with nothing more invaluable than her sentiments..."
~She grabbed her dagger and with a very quick move, she cut Scion's palm without warning or hesitation.~
"I will be bound by our Love, even if it does not last forever. You are and you have always been special to me. I love you, my dear Scion, and this can not change."
~She cut her palm with the dagger.~
"Let our blood be mixxed and through this become one soul, one heart. From this time and on, I will feel your pain as it was mine. From this time and on, I will be bound by my promise of blood and love and I shall take care of you and your problems till my soul is freed from this mortal body to the world of eternity."
~She paused and took a breath.~
"I love you, Scion, Thief of my Heart!"
He took her hand in his and let the blood mix for a minute. He took in her beauty and was glad he had said something. He had never regretted being with her, and never would. Scion wrapped his arms around her and kissed her with the same passion she'd given him.
"I love you. No matter what happens, I'll always be by your side in body or at the very least in spirit. I guess chasing you around when you were ill made me realize how much I was willing to give for you. Everything."
Eventually he put the ring in his pocket and smiled.
"I had a feeling you might not like the ring. I suppose it's a bit of a tradition, and I didn't know how else to do this."
He knew this was as close as anything, and held her close.
"I don't know what else to say..."
He kissed her again.
~Laura was very glad that Scion responded that way to her wish for blood mixing instead of the ring. Something was troubling her though.~
"I think I know of something that you could do for me, my Love..."
~She grinned.~
"Cash the ring and fund the Order. And..."
~She took a melancholic expression.~
"Take care of our Shelter for as long as I will be absent. I will join the Principality's of Zonasa cause for a while. Maybe it is the best option for me right now. The Duke of Zonasa City has already offered me asylum without me even asking for it."
Scion frowned.
"I've been sending letters back and forth with Quattro. He said he'd still consider letting you come back if you'll go to Masahakon to speak with him. This is because he can't leave while preparing for Corey's arrival. I wish you would try. If they try to arrest you, you'll have to be released..."
He finally started to give up on that. He did smile though.
"You know Paplarmi doesn't have a lord... Maybe you could convince Bleys to let you build a shelter in Paplarmi, and then spread the Order further. If you need to borrow money to build it, then ask, with a promise to repay soon after it's built, since I can fund another shelter, but I can't transfer it into Zonasan bonds. I will talk to him too, if it'll help."
~Laura lowered her head and let a short laugh come out.~
"You are in my mind already, my Love... Has it worked that quick really?!"
~She said in a cheerful mood~
Scion grinned and kissed Laura on the cheek.
"Maybe it has, or maybe we were closer than we realized."
"Do you know Prince Bleys in person? What would you tell him?"
~She takes a breath and sighs~
"I do not think that I shall be hold in high estime to be granted that title... As for Lord Quattro, I shall do as you wish and I shall give it a chance and I shall meet him in Masahakon. I shall do so as a Zonasan Noble, though."
~Laura was feeling really trapped.~
He sighed.
"I can't say I know Bleys in person, but I'm sure he knows Ziode. Hopefully, that'll be enough."
Something seemed wrong, so he moved behind her and began massaging her back and neck.
"Relax. Everything will find a way to work itself out."
~Laura started to feel better. The massage or at least knowing that she has someone to count on made her feel better.~
"I think that we are relying too much on your King Ziode, my Love, don't you think so? He may not wish to assist us this time..."
He smiled when she said they were relying on Ziode too much.
"I'm not relying on him, just his position, since it makes my family name known."
~She turned around and hugged Scion being very happy and satisfied for some reason.~
"I think that the least we have to do for him is to invite him to our Order and grant him the title of Benefactor or even Collaborator..."
He kept smiling when she put her arms around him.
"I'll send a letter with an invite later."
~She did or said nothing for a few seconds when all of a sudden she tightened her hug and spoke again.~
"I love you!!! I love you!!! I love you!!! I love you so much..."
Her sudden outburst did surprise him, but he held her tighter and whispered to her.
"I love you too Laura. I love you too..."
