EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH HAKTOO OF DWILIGHT'S NETHERWORLD
Haktoo...few names have caused as much excitement on the islands in recent times. Daemon Lord? Incarnation of Tom? Or...something else?
Our own Per Petersen tracked down the mystery man to get the first hand story.
Per Petersen: First of all, Mr. Haktoo, I'd just like...
Haktoo: Uhm, sorry Per, I just have to break in for a moment here...this is an SMA island. I'm going to have to ask you to use my full and correct title.
PP: Which is...?
H: Haktoo, Ruler of the Dwilight Netherworld, Lord of the Western Volcanic Regions, Earl of Evilness, Duke of Debauchery, Tetrarch of Tomfoolery, Basileus of Buggery. Also, the true Baron of Old Grekh, but they're so insignificant, I hardly ever mention that one.
PP: I see. Few if any rulers have risen to prominence in as short a time as you have done. Literally overnight you have become a household name. Can you tell us about this? Where did you come from?
H: (laughs) Yes, it certainly has been a whirlwind 24 hours. Actually, I was a regional commander in the Northeast section of Beluaterra, where I commited more than a few bloodthirsty massacres. The Great Advy Cliff Dive of last summer? My doing. It's not by chance that Thalmarkin is a virtual wasteland.
Still, when I got the call to run the whole kit and kaboodle here on Dwilight, I certainly was a bit taken aback. But it's been a good thing so far, and I'm glad I've stepped up to the challenge.
PP: Unlike BT, Dwilght is a serious RP island. Does that present any special challenges?
H: (nodding vigorously) Uh-huh, uh-huh. Yes, I know what you mean. (looks thoughtful) I guess it takes away some of the more light-hearted aspects of the job. For example, one time in Melhed, we thought it would be a laugh to sew the prisoners inside a bunch of goatskins and float them down the river. (laughs) I'm not sure the Titans would let us get away with that now.
PP: So, what are your goals for the first year? Anything you can tell us?
H: Well, right now, the only thing I can say is that it involves the complete and total destruction of mankind on the island. More than that, you'll just have to wait and see.
