Article I : Proclamations of Leadership
- The Monarch of Asylon reserves the right to proclaim Duchies, along with their Duke or Duchess.
- The Monarch of Asylon reserves the right to proclaim an heir to the throne of the Kingdom.
- In the case of a vacancy without heir, the Nobility of the Kingdom of Asylon shall choose a new Monarch from their ranks through a simple majority.
- The Monarch of Asylon reserves the right to appoint the General and the Banker.
- The incumbent Lord or Lady of a city reserves the right to name an heir to the position.
- In the case of a vacancy without heir, the landowning nobles within that city reserve the right to nominate the next Lord or Lady.
- In the case of a vacancy without heir, the Duke or Duchess reserves the right to proclaim a new Lord or Lady from the candidates put forth by the landowning nobles of that city.
- The Duke or Duchess reserves the right to choose Lords and Ladies of regions under that Duchy's influence.
- Cities are exempt from this (Article I, Section 2).
- Landowning nobles to a region reserve the right to recommend a Lord or Lady for that region.
- The Nobility of Asylon reserve the right to choose a Judge from their ranks through a simple majority.
Article II : Ducal Allegiances
- The Lord or Lady of a city reserves the right to pledge allegiance to a Duchy.
- The Lord or Lady of a region reserves the right to pledge allegiance to a Duchy.
- Dukes and Duchesses are pledged to the Monarch of Asylon.
- Termination of this allegiance equals the forfeiting of all legal leadership within the Kingdom of Asylon.
Article III : Powers and Privileges
- Lords and Ladies of cities and regions reserve the right to partition estates to their own design.
- Lords and Ladies of regions reserve the right to the usage of the resources of the region which they govern.
- The Trade and Administration Council reserves the right to recommend the movement of food from regions to cities.
- The Trade and Administration Council reserves the right to declare a state of famine in the Kingdom.
- Under a state of famine, the Monarch reserves the right to direct the movement of food, superseding any previous arrangements.
- Lords and Ladies of regions reserve the right to all profits made by the transfer of resources from their region.
- The Monarch of Asylon reserves the right to levy taxes on Dukes and Duchesses.
- Dukes and Duchesses reserve the right to levy taxes on Lords and Ladies under their Duchy.
- Lords and Ladies reserve the right to levy taxes on landed nobles in their regions.
- This includes estates in cities.
- The Monarch of Asylon reserves the right to proclaim a city as the Capital of the Kingdom of Asylon.
Article IV: Duties and Responsibilities
- Dukes and Duchesses are charged with the stationary defense of their Duchy, through the Lords and Ladies of the cities and regions under their Duchy.
- Lords and Ladies are charged with the stationary defense of their city or region.
- The Monarch, Dukes, Duchesses, Lords, and Ladies of the Kingdom of Asylon are charged with the welfare of the Kingdom through their Duchies, cities, and regions.
Article V: Religious Affairs
- Lords and Ladies of regions and cities reserve the right to allow or disallow priests of religious orders to preach in their domain.
- Landed nobles reserve the right to invite priests of religious orders into the privacy of their domains.
- The Kingdom of Asylon is a pluralist nation. No religious order shall be given royal, judicial, military, or financial favor.
- Religious influence shall not be used by the Kingdom of Asylon to expand its borders.
- The Kingdom of Asylon shall not participate in religious wars or crusades.
- The Monarch of Asylon reserves the right to ban a religious order within the Kingdom, should that religious order be proven to be detrimental to the welfare of the Kingdom of Asylon.
Article VI: Military Affairs
- The Monarch of Asylon reserves the right to create or destroy armies for the service of the Kingdom of Asylon.
- Dukes and Duchesses reserve the right to create or destroy armies for their Duchy.
- Dukes and Duchesses reserve the right to appoint marshals for the armies they create.
- Dukes and Duchesses are charged with the funding of the armies they create.
- The Monarch of Asylon reserves the right to declare a state of war.
- Under a state of war, the General reserves the right to command the Ducal armies.
- Under a state of war, the Monarch shall subsidize expenses of the Ducal armies.
- Nobles of Asylon shall not loot nor pillage foreign, dependent regions without the consent of the Monarch or the General.
- Dependent regions are defined as regions belonging to any foreign nation, including the political entity known as the Zuma Coalition.
Article VII: Miscellaneous Provisions
- The Monarch of Asylon reserves the right to declare the titles of the offices of the Judge, Banker, and General.
- The Freemen of the Kingdom shall be left unmolested unless there is due reason.
- No freeman is to be imprisoned or tortured without fair warning.
