As the man dressed in rags climbed the hill in the vicinity of Grehk, his heart stopped at the sight before him. In the distance, Grehk was burning bright with the fires of the Netherworld and gigantic demons could be seen flying over the capital of Riombara. Grehk was breached and the people were being slaughtered mercilessly. Shields and banners of Riombaran armed forces were scattered on the field in front the main entry gate. The defenders appeared to be routed, and he could only imagine that the small cloud of dirt hovering in the sky further south towards Ardmore was where they regrouped.

Gregorian shakes his head. He remembers last night and the horrible screams he heard from the Netherworld dungeons. Last thing he remembered were screams from another prisoner, who was apparently from Fronen, screaming his lungs out trying to find out what fate had befallen Vur Hagin. After that, Gregorian remembered being taken away into the torture chambers, where he was pierced, slashed and drained off his blood. A horrible torture culminated when a beasts, which he assumed was Overlord himself, ripped out his left eye. He barely survived.

But then the gods smiled upon him. There was no way he would survive another torture, so last night, after he was returned to his cell, Gregorian started to dig like there was no tomorrow. And truly, there wouldn't be. He dug with his hands, his feet and his teeth until such a time when he felt a small stream flowing beneath him. With even more zeal he pushed forward, until he finally could see an underground cave and a small river running there. Devoid of strength he tossed himself into it, and today emerged somewhere west of Grehk.

And now he stood free again, but with a terrible sight in front of him, and a whole bag of debts to collect. He remembers his dead father, slain in the siege of Ibladesh, and the debt he had to revenge his death and the death of his people. One day he will return...one day. But now there was much more to do. As wrath fills his entire being Gregorian screams his lungs out and puts a great curse on the Daimons, and vows another revenge on his path of destruction. This one for his left eye.
