Gerhardt Voneiswust stumbled upon this coat in Bescanon, in the realm of Perdan, on a fair springtime day. It was in the treasure guarded by an abomination with three heads in the darkest forests of Bescanon. The big monster, bigger than any that Gerhardt had seen till then, had been a worthy opponent. But the adventuring man was faster, and Gerhardt managed to strike the ugly thing again and again, weakening the monster until the killing blow. The freeman was spent, and a lot of small wounds started to really hurt after the fight was over.

Gerhardt had already met some strange men, wizards some called them. It was obviously one of them whose skeleton corpse was in the monster lair. The unfortunate sorcerer still wore a precious-looking garment. The Coat was made from a rich bright red silk with golden thread woven into it. Gerhardt was not dumb enough to try it on, sensing the power of these clothes. Who knew the effect it could have on its wearer. Its previous owner had been foolish enough to be caught by the clumsy abomination. It was certainly the Adorned Coat of the Foolish.
