Vetinari Family
The Family
The Vetinari Family comes from Tarasac, of Atamara. It is a war-torn land, so the entire family are quite used to war and its consequences. But each member of the family reacted differently.
Mervin
He is the elder of the two brothers, but his brother has never needed looking after. He has a certain distaste for war, but understands it as a necessary evil. He has always been restless and when he came of age, he bought a fine seaworthy ship and set off for the distant continent of Dwilight. He got caught in a massive storm and his ship was heavily damaged and all navigational instruments were destroyed. Without a better guide, he followed a particular star in the sky, figuring it was better to continue in a single direction than to drift aimlessly.
He made it to the land of Morek and the people there informed him he had indeed followed the Auspicious Star to the place he now calls...home.
Max
Max is the younger of the two brothers, and shares Mervin's restlessness. He left home, keeping only his name and a bag of gold. He abandoned his claim to nobility and became an adventurer to feel the thrill of single-handed combat with the undead and monsters.
