| A New Banker, Reserve Duke, and Lord

| With Lord Mikhail wounded after an assasin attempted to take his life a new banker was voted in. We would like to send our congratulations to Lord Richard. May he serve us well.
Chancellor Rogal Dorn was voted in to be the reserve Duke of Ashforth, but with the re-appearence of Lord Elberan, gave up his rights. Lord Elberan should be instated in a few days.
After declaring my intentions to step down as Lord of Tabost to better serve as Marshal of the OoT, Sir Karlean has been voted to take my place. We wish all of our new leaders luck.

| After only one day of occupation the region of Troyes has abandoned Fontan for Perdan. Perdan has since moves into Westmoor and has started a take over there. Meanwhile Caligus in the South foiled its own friendly take over of Akesh Temple by looting. They have since started a new one.

| Dark Times for Fontan

| Trouble times have come to Fontan. Shortly after the traitorous seccesion made by Lord Gregor Relak, the realms of Caligus and Perdan¨declared war on Fontan. Perdanese forces mass in the border, ready to strike into our hertland, while the Caligus armies staterd a brutal attemp of dominion over the Akesh Temple.
Also, Count Elberan of Al Najaf and Marquis Lord of Blood of Al Amarah are nowhiere to found, creating a shadow of doubt on their regions. Doubt that was used by the insurrects to forge documents to take legal contorl of the region of Al Najaf.
But Fontan spirit and courage will prevail in front of the tracherous vipers and oportunist, always showing the righteounes of our cause!

| Elections and Appointments

| With the aforementioned disappearance of Minister Elberan our Chancellor Rogal Dorn has seen it fit to appoint a temporary Minister of Finances who will be replace in the up coming election. Lord Mikhail was given the charge since he has had previous experience in the position. He has also stated that he has no desire to run for the position in the elections.
Speaking of elections, the ones to be held in a few days time promise to be the most exciting ones in quite awhile. Chancellor Rogal Dorn has declared he does not wish to seek re-election. However, with two former Chancellors in the running this promises to be an exciting race. The Minister of Finances position is also wide open, and had a slew of worthy candidates vying for it. | The unknown whereabouts of Lord Elberan have lead to the stewards of An Najaf to declare the Lordship of An Najaf open. Only a few short hours after this was done however a noble, Sir Daralan, of the Confederacy was declared her lord. There is obviously some sort of corruption at play here.

| After many attempts, the city of Ashforth has finally been brought under Fontan's banner. Old Rancuga's former capital is a shadow of her former self, and it will take a great deal of time for her to be restored. It is however unknown who her duke shall be. Minister Elberan had been voted into the position, be he has since gone missing. Lord Duncan has been appointed as a temporary warden until a lord can be determined.

I am tired of the death of destruction in the north. Fontans rampant need to destroy every realm near them. Despite their democratic roots, they are acting more and more like a tyrannical Empire. Ironically, I declare war on Fontan as they complete the TO of their 8th duchy. Gregor petitioned me to support his new realm. I was hoping that once Fontan achieved 7 duchies they would slow on their Imperialistic ways, but watching their continued intent for domination I decided that action was needed.

Say what they want, we all know the reason for this war. Caligus is greedy, they want back the regions they lost to LoF years ago. Who can forget the letters between Tal and doombringer which had been shared in the assembly where doombringer demanded back the regions of Akesh Temple, Tokat, and Sordidus for nothing in return after many Fontan lives had been spent to remove them from the treacherous hand of LoF. Fontan had even offered Caligus the regions of Akesh Temple and Sordidus, but Caligus would only accept all or nothing. This just shows us the true color of Caligus.

| Duke Gregor of Fontan City seceded his city away to form the Confederacy of Fontan. His announcement came in a message to the Assebly saying;

My brothers and sisters of Fontan,
We have fought many wars together you and I, it was I who formally defined the powers of the Assembly when I was Chancellor, and it was I who have been your most ardent supporter. We have lost our political battle against those who would ignore the people. The military elite has usurped the powers inherent to the people. Where once this body was the political nexus of all that made Fontan great, now this space is a hollow shell of a thing. No-more does the Chancellor seek the approval of this body to enact change. No more are things debated vigorously producing the finest policy that Fontan’s collective wisdom can muster. No more is our realm a democracy. It is a tyranny of military ideals, and military might.
This thing I cannot stand to let live. Therefore it is with much consternation, much introspective thought and due consideration of all the options available to me and to we the people, that I declare a state of civil war to exist in Fontan. My Duchy will henceforth be free from the shackles of this oppressive government, will live freely under my rule, and will do its utmost to reclaim for freedom the lands so many have died to protect. I know that I am not alone in my sentiments, and therefore I call upon all nobles of Fontan, all Lords and Dukes to stand against this government, and to join with me in arms.
Mighty friends have been saddened by Fontan’s descent, and their support will bolster our cause against the established powers. Our cause is just, our strength unmatched, and peace shall rule our lands once again. Give up your hearts to joy and wonderment in life once more, and lift up your sword in salute to our fair land of freedoms. The regions of Sordidus, Tokat, and Negev followed their Ducal Capital in the session. It is clear this move was planned out, and opurtunly comes on the eve of iminent war with Caligus.

| Death of a Hero

| Celad Anthas, a Knight of Oligarch has died heroically on the field of battle in Parm against Sirion forces. His brother, Katan Anthas, Banker of Sultanate of Asena, Baron of Gadlock, had this to say about Sir Celad:
Today, my Brother, Celad Anthas, was laid to rest here in Gadlock. He lived a good life, having fought battles on both the South Eastern Island, where he went to avenge the death of my twin brother Archid, and here on the Eastrn Continent.
His career, I have been told, was a modest one to begin with, Arriving in Taselak soon after the death of Archid. He was there not even a fortnight before he was seriously wounded in Falens, taking several arrows through his leg.
Not to be defeated so easily, a week later he proclaimd himself to truly be heroic, stepping up to lead from the front, which has ultimately claimed his life. Working the best he could, he began to make a name not only for himself, but our family as well. Within a few months, he became Count of Lesthem, the very fields where our brother Archid was slain. However, he hadn't held onto the region very long before it was reclaimed by Toren.
Several weeks later, once the allegiance of the Sandalak Duchy changed from Ikalak to Taselak, he was made Count of Unlib, a region he held dear to him until the day when the island lost favour with the gods, and he was forced to move here to the Eastern Continent, where he joined me in the Democracy of Fontan.
There we fought for the same side for quite some time, yet never on the same battlefield. It was there, with the networks, that I was able to communicate effectively with him. However, he was there for little more than a month before I left Fontan with the Sultanate of Asena, while he remained in Fontan, not wishing to betray his own personal beliefs on loyalty.
It was some time before we once again met, up in the County of Juazeiro. We were able to have some time face to face, for the first time since we embarked on our careers. We were able to relax together and have a few drinks, and he was able to meet my now betrothed, Zekio, before he moved out to Oroya.
However, the next time we once again saw each other was only half a day later, where we met up once again in Oroya. In one of the battles there, he even made a mistake, and took up rank with myself and the Sultanate, fighting in our lines instead of those of Fontan. However, we soon parted ways once again, not knowing that it was the last time we'd ever speak.
And then, the battle of Parm. Having not had seen the reports of the battle, I do not know much of his death, other than he died a courageous and heroic death. Unfortunately, there is one person that sought to bring him shame, even in his death. Dame Kiera of the Obsidian Islands had attempted to loot his memorial as it was being constructed, so it was only a miracle that she was able to be repeled.
However, Celad's accomplishments were not only prevalent on the field of battle, for he was also was inventive and clever, having created the Pub-Mobile, a structure which served to provide morale for not only his soldiers, but those around him, and even his enemies were often invited over for drinks. The pub-Mobile soon found status in Taselak, often proving its worth as a mobile headquarters for the kingdom's army.
Us of the Anthas family often called Celad 'The Invincible' as no matter what was thrown at him, nothing ever seemed to slow him down, much harm him. It is a sad day not only for the Anthas Family and his compatriots in Fontan, but the world, for we have lost a truly great man.

| Is This the End of OR?

| Currently, Fontanese forces are participating in the takeover of the city of Ashforth and the rural region of Dale. And count the regions SoA has taken from OR the past few weeks or so and the regions they are likely to take in the future. Their allies from Sirion have their own set of problems, ranging from losing their two western most cities and rogues to their east. The new OR regime wants peace with Fontan, but at this rate, they are likely to run out of regions before they see the peace they want. The future of OR does look bleak.

| After Duke Sartan went missing for a week his position was opened up to vote for voting by the populace. Minister Basilius won the referandum and was appointed to the position by Chancellor Rogal Dorn. After much arguing, which is customary in Fontan, it has been decided that he will keep the position even after Lord Sartan's return.

| Unlikely Alliance Forms

| Just today the news reached us that Sirion and Caligus have formed an alliance. This is unexpected and it shows how serious the situation in Sirion must be. Just a few months back, I bet that the elves would scoff at such a lousy idea.
But this alliance could mean a new entrant or two into the current war. Keep your fingers crossed, if Caligus enters Fontan lands in aid of Sirion, this will be way more interesting than our current cleaning up of Sirion forces whenever we fight. But I will still bet on Fontan to push back whatever Caligus can muster.

| Just today, the region of Salta and Ashforth has gone rogue. Salta rebelled from SoA while Ashforth rebelled from OR. Ashforth used to be OR's capital and they are currently without a capital. The entire OR cabinet seems to be lost except for their judge.
