:::That was funny, I will admit that much. We have monsters that were player characters on Beluaterra, think they'd like being called monsters? Or undead and demons on the same continent, they wouldn't enjoy it either. And not all monsters in the Compendium are what you'd normally consider monsters, it's more a list of all the animals and various beasts and odd creatures found on the island chain. Darwin was practically an outcast when he said humans evolved from something, instead of saying they were created by god.
