Aila Storme
Lady Storme stands at an average height with a slender build; Her combat training is mainly that of archery and it shows in battle. Her dream is to restore her family to a secure position where she can build a family of own as their numbers dwindle and their influence wanes thanks to the actions of her relatives.
After the sudden death of her father she lives alone on the East Continent making her living as a noble in Perdan, the realm where she spent the majority of her life. While she tries to keep a stalwart appearance her fiery nature sometimes shows itself whether she intends it or not.
She is fiercely loyal to Perdan and will defend it often to her own detriment.
Early life
Aila was raised in Perdan City by her father who worked as a courtier. She was sent a school within the city to learn reading, writing, numbers, to sing, to dance, and how to behave. Her father saw to it that she was given additional lessons in archery and took it upon himself to teach her the family tradition of falconry from a young age. Her parents while married had not been able to tolerate each other's company for as long as she could remember and as a result only saw her mother on rare unpleasant occasions throughout childhood. Despite this, her father had provided her with a happy life in the Capital her entire time growing into a squire, and eventually a knight.
Having been raised guarded so closely by her father his sudden death was a shock that affected her years after he had been put to rest in the Perdan Noble mausoleum. With little family wealth and no way to make up her fathers wage she lost the manse she had been raised in when her mother sold it, along most of her father's assets. Seeing none of the profits following this, Aila left the city for Aix intending to use her skill in archery to make enough gold to provide for herself as one of Perdans Golden Lions. For two years she refused to attend any events or speak to anyone outside of her household, a letter from the Grey Exarch of Shadowdale changed everything in an instant.
Age 17-22
After capturing the attention of a well known Duke Smiddich Fontaine and beginning a romance with him Aila found herself with an unexpected level of freedom while helping him with events and diplomatic visits. When he was elected King of Perdan she dedicated her time to assisting him with his work and the aftermath of the Chaos Island Disasters. She was often at his side during council meetings and while he worked in his study, allowing her to learn much about the duties of a Duke.
While doing so her older Cousin usurped the householder title from her. Soon after the disasters the King disappeared, leaving Aila to pick up the remains left behind. After losing an election for Ruler she fought for the claim to Perdan Duchy and the Capital, and was awarded claim to both titles by Queen Alyssa Kingsley.
Despite the hardships with her family and the bitter end to her relationship with the king Aila looks back on this time as the Golden age of Perdan, and the happiest time of her life.
Age 22-27
Many events were held in the Capital of Perdan under the care of Duchess Aila and despite many hardships brought on by the politics of the time the people remained happy and hopeful of the future. A serious of follys, a bad alliance, and disheartening wars slowly wore away at the Kingdom. Despite the slow decline of Perdan Aila found some personal happiness, travelling the continent and meeting new people. After a few dalliance's with a foreign king and spending some time becoming close with Earl Oliver Laststar, she eventually became engaged to Duke Kenneth MacArbin. Together they plan to rebuild their families and creating a home in Perdan which they can be proud of. Their relationship is of a unique nature which suites both of them very well and they hope to be married very soon.
At the same time, with the state of things events slowly began to wane and stop, diplomacy became harder to perform and agreements impossible to maintain. Deciding something had to change Aila put together a small group of nobles to talk about protesting Alyssa and finding a new ruler. Her letters were discovered on the eve of a battle during which Aila suffered a terrible wound to her left leg. Healers assure her it will heal, but the leg may never fully recover it's strength.
When she awoke in Aix many days later her suspicions were confirmed. The Kingdom had been split apart by a desperate Duke trying to save his Lords and people from Tyranny and she was left nearly alone with a Queen who saw her as a traitor. Prince Gislin Luitolf proved himself a staunch protector and agent of Leandra. It is with his even handed justice that she is able to continue to try and liberate her people from a tyrannical rule.
Aila continues heal and to work toward reunifying Perdan and rebuilding her realm back to it's former glory, but the future remains unknown.

He has a daughter named Lucy whose mother died in childbirth. The child is under the protection and care of Aila Storme.
