Primacy of the Crown
§ Division of Power
- The Crown entitles the Royal Councillors, the Dukes and the Imperial Lords as Royal Deputies.
- The Royal Deputies represent the Crown in everyday domestic issues.
- The Royal Deputies are accountable to the Crown.
- The Royal Deputies maintain the right to address an issue directly to the Crown.
- Ducal Deputies, such as non Imperial Lords, are accountable to the Duke who is responsible for the efficiency of his deputies.
§ Supremacy
- The Crown maintains the right to overrule any decision of the Royal Deputies.
- The Crown maintains the right to grant reprieves.
Authority
§ Lord General of Melodia
He is obligated to:
- protect the Throne through the repression of any uprisings
- preserve sovereignty through the proper defence of all claimed lands
- expand the royal influence through the conquest of all claimed lands
- compose the military law
§ Lord Judge of Melodia
He is obligated to:
- protect the Throne through the banishment of potential rebels
- maintain internal peace through proper usage of legal functions such as the issuing of fines and official requests of leave
- compose the civic law
- give a legal dimension to the regal, military, civic and financial laws through their precise legal enforcement
§ Lord Banker of Melodia
He is obligated to:
- ensure the welfare of nobility through the royal tax scheme
- ensure the prosperity of the royal fortune through lucrative trade
- efficiently administer the royal fortune through the effective coordination of the royal administration deputies
- composing the financial law
§ Dukes of Melodia
They are obligated to:
- maintain internal peace through the proper leadership of their Knighthood
- ensure the welfare of nobility through the realization of the royal tax scheme
- ensure the prosperity of the royal fortune through internal trade and the effective fulfillment of any royal trade deals
- efficiently administer the royal fortune through regular administration work as well as through appointment and coordination of any ducal administration deputies
§ Imperial Lords of Melodia
They are obligated to:
- maintain internal peace through the proper leadership of their Knighthood
- ensure the welfare of nobility through the realization of the royal tax scheme
- ensure the prosperity of the royal fortune through internal trade and the effective fulfillment of any royal trade deals
- efficiently administer the royal fortune through regular administration work
Addendum
§ Military Law
- The foundation of a military Order requires permission from the Crown. Unauthorized army sponsorship is forbidden and will result to severe punishment.
- The Royal Guard is under the direct command of the Crown.
- Orders that are not part of the Royal Guard are under the direct command of the Lord General.
§ Civic Law
- Referendums require permission directly from the Crown. Unauthorized referendums are forbidden and will result to severe punishment.
§ Financial Law
- Port Raviel is exempt from the tax scheme.
