Old Description

The rural province of Melegra, in the east islands of Beluaterra, has long been one of the most important regions of the People's Republic of Fwuvoghor since the beginning of the war between the Republic and Riombara, and is still in the hands of the Republic after the two realms reached an uneasy peace.

The fields and forests of Melegra provide fruits and vegetables, and its shores afford remarkable fishing. Most of the people live in small villages, near the shore and away from the tropical forests, which are teeming with wildlife. Before the undead came, Melegra's forests were popular destinations for nobles looking to prove themselves as hunters and trackers.

A monastery resides in one of the larger villages in the southwest of Melegra, set up by the first settlers of Beluaterra.

The Fwuvoghor bridge ranks among the engineering marvels of the island, built from marble from Norjke. In former times, the bridge was guarded on both sides, with customs houses on either shore. Today, those customs houses have been cleared away so that travelers can cross freely, increasing trade and making the trip much easier.
