Magna Serpaensism/Church Dogma

-"For lo, did Magnus command that the people sip from His most precious drink, the ale of the lands, and think upon Him." Ale is the sacred drink of Magnus, the Great Serpent.

-"And the great lord did raise up a slice of the pie and show it to all and he did say 'Magnus gives us strength and shows his pleasure, for sooth, as the baking does seal in the flavor and the holiness of that which nourishes us in His name.' and all ate and it was good." Pie of all kinds (both sweet and savory) is the sacred food of Magnus, the Great Serpent. On high holidays, it is customary for festivals to center around eel and herring pies, depending on the seafood available at the nearest coastal region.

-The storm is most holy to Magnus for He controls the seas and the winds. A storm above the Ash Sea itself is considered the best of omens.

-Magnus created humanity to fight as his knights against Calamar and his agents.

-The Great Serpent gave humanity free will so that they could be better knights against Calamar and use creativity and willpower as weapons in their battles. This also gave an opening to Calamar to corrupt humanity, however, and turn them away from Magnus.
