A great battle was fought before the walls of Nahad between Greater Aenilia and Arcaea. The Arcaeans were driven back before the walls by the Aenilian forces- the holy Paladin Xarnelf breaking through the enemy lines and sundering their formation.
The battle moved on towards Arcaean lands, followed by baseborn adventurers searching through the dreck of battle. One such adventurer was Aeth Huntsmaster, a distant bastard cousin of one of the nobles who had fought at Nahad. While resting in the woods near Nahad, he noticed an odd-looking and obviously long-forgotten weapon embedded in a streambank. Prying it clear and rinsing it in the flowing water, he beheld the Legendary Club of Doom.
