The Region

One of the larger regions in the immediate area, the majority of Kannoktet's modest population are farmers and unskilled workers. Population centres are small and scattered throughout the countryside. Kannoktet sits on the northern bank of the Great North River as it emerges into the Bay of Souls. The city of Agyr is visible across the estuary on a clear day, but the crossing is long and dangerous, and not often attempted.

Warmed a little by the bay, and drawing plentiful fresh water from the river for irrigation, hardy crops thrive despite the distance north and there is a well-established fishing industry along the northernmost stretch of coastline. Mainly however, Kannoktet is best known for it's prized Highland Cattle. This beef is raised in the Tettan Highlands in the north of the region. Because of it's varied suppliers, Kannoktet is one of the major producers of food to the area. It is far from a beautiful or hospitable land, but the locals get by even if they do show a tendency to grumble.

Lords of Kannoktet

Count Aubin Ledoux from September 2nd, 1019, to present day.
