Sandalak laid the trap in Abykal and Ikalak took it. Sandalak crushed Ikalak, maiming a few and killing two heroes. The battle took place in the morning. Ikalak had 13000cs and Sandalak had 11000cs. Ikalak tried to scale the walls, and some even got through, but Sandalak held their ground and pushed Ikalak back down the walls. After this victory Sandalak rejoiced and some even say Taselak heard them scream and celebrate. What is next for Ikalak and Sandalak? Will Sandalak take the battle back to Ikalak, or will they sit back and wait for Ikalak to come again and get slaughtered. Only time will tell.

After seizing the Cave of Guilt a few days ago, Taselak's army marched on to Eledrir and started a TO attempt in the region. Soon afterwards, Sandalak hit the Taselakian occupational army with full force. The battle was fierce and brutal, with two sides closely matched. But in the end, Sandalak prevailed, and they delivered a crushing blow to their enemy. Two heroes laid dead, two were seriously injured. Four others were captured. The occupatinal forces were nearly completely obliterated.

Ikalak turned its attention to Taselak for two days and Sandalak used the opportunity to retake both Mewun and Triewa. This all happened when Ikalak finally took the fight to Taselak destroying a large portion of their army, followed by the  re-establishment of control of Berakor to Ikalak. This was the first time since the treaty between Sandalak and Taselak that Ikalak has challenged the Taselak army in battle. It was not all bad new for Taselak however as they did manage to  takeover and secure Neralle. More bad news came to Ikalak when a large expedition force was sent against the region of Abykal.  However instead of finding the region lightly defended, they arrived only to find that the Sandalak force stationed there was much larger then they first thought, even so Ikalak still outnumbered the Sandalak force and would of easily overrun the walls had it not been for the new Lord of Abykal, George who had strengthened the walls so that they were increased to level 2.  Ikalak has now regathered there forces and has amassed a huge army.  This force has already crushed a feable but brutal takeover attempt of Unagae by Sandalak.
+
Ikalak's last region of Berakor has been taken over by the occupational Sandalak forces in the region. Jair, a former troopleader of Ikalak was appointed Count Berakor shortly afterwards by Dictator Boswick of Sandalak. With this, the once dominant force known as Ikalak is no more. Several former influencial Ikalak troopleaders have moved on, with Castamir and Aramil joining Tasalak and Zack the Great joining Sandalak. Grig is nowhere to be found on the island, and we can only wonder where other prominant Ikalak troopleaders will end up, such as Yavanna, Quixote, and Eavan.

Sandalak's efforts have caused their pivotal takeover of Ikalak City to finally suceed after several days of occupation. Early this morning, the final pockets of government resistance were finally wiped out and the Sandalak banner raised in the city, where the Ikalak banner previously stood. Alexei Dolohov, a former dictator of Sandalak, was inaugurated as the new Duke of Ikalak soon afterwards. At the moment, it seems as though Sandalak's gamble has paid off, with Ikalak City in Sandalak hands and Tasalak's attack on Sandalak City sucessfully repeled. Reduced to their last region Berakor, it appears that it's only a matter of time before Ikalak's coffin is finally nailed shut.

{{Template:News_major_large_left|
A new wave of treachery has rocked the great City of Ikalak as many nobles, the former Count of Kietrem, Moonglum of the Spearhawk family being one of the prime offenders in this new outbreak of disloyalty. After a series of crushing defeats at the hands of the Sandalakian armies in Abykal, some nobles lost the will to carry on under the banner of a city which they once called home. Among those to have defected to the infamous Boswick and his followers were Emmitt II, son of Emmitt I who died heroically at the hands of Taselak whilst acting as a deep scout behind enemy lines and most infamously the once highly regarded Count of Kietrem, Moonglum, a former Marshal of the army which had long protected the region which he took with him,  In response to this troubling turn of events, Morgoth, the Duke of Ikalak City, has already placed a price on the head of this traitor. This upsurge of disloyalty among the great nobles of Ikalak, coupled with the losses of Abykal, Triewa, Mewun and Unagae have led Ikalak to its darkest hour as it fights valiantly to protect its sovereignty from the hordes of two barbarian invaders.

Yesterday, the Sandalakian government received note that Taselak considers the CF agreement as null and void. This will undoubtedly cause Sandalak and Taselak to wage war on eachother once again. Duelling has been taking place all across the Island against both enemy and friend, with several Troop Leaders being wounded. All three realms have been dealing with this in there own way. Several reports place the Ikalak Troop leaders winning a majority of these duels against their enemies however this has not yet been confirmed. Currently no one has died from these duels however it is only a matter of time before fatalities happen.  One can only imagaine the damaging effects to moral this could have if one of the major members of a realm was killed in this matter.

The news of the massive geological events on the East Continent fall on alrady troubled ears as the forces of both Taselak and Sandalak close in around the besieged city of Ikalak. However as always the determined Nobles of Ikalak put themselves at the forefront in heroic defence of the White City and although the odds are stacked against them they still continue to fight after the loses of Korlok, Wellaf and Dakan to the enemy.

After the immediate siege of the City concluded with both armies forced to retreat, the Ikalakians launched an ill-fated counter-attack against the Occupational Forces of Sandalak in Korlok. However many Nobles did not receive the orders to march in time, and infiltrator actions which blocked the pathways to Korlok, these combined series of misfortunate events led to an inferior army engaging the enemy and with loss the Ikalakians regrouped and retreated to the city. However, despite these loses the Ikalakians continue to wage a valiant defence of their city in the hopes of one day earning their long deserved freedom to strike back at the barbaric snakes of Sandalak.

The battle for the control over Ikalak City has begun. Two days after Taselak started their takeover attempt, Sandalak sent in an armada to thwart the Taselakian plans. Though they were no match for the defending force, the Sandalakians achieved their main objective: putting a stop to the takeover and buy time to mount a full-scale attack. Surprisingly, Ikalak greeted the Sandalakians with hostility, calling them traitors and backstabbers because they supposedly broke their ceasefire agreement with Taselak, even though the agreement does not include attacks on foreign soil. Sandalak claims that Taselak has broken the agreement earlier by taking control of the Toren Stronghold and Bieth.
 +
 +
Even more surprising, several Ikalakians have now sided with their invaders! Several sources report Ikalakians and Taselakians fraternizing, which is described by Hassan of Sandalak as follows: "I don't get it, we save Ikalak from destruction by stopping the takeover, and they go off and have drinks with Taselak! I think they finally lost all sense of reality. They left their capital wide open for Taselak in the first place, which leads me to believe that Ikalak is trying their best to make sure Sandalak does not get control of Ikalak City. The final act of a desperate realm."

It is certain that the final word on this issue has not been said, as both Taselak and Sandalak are preparing for the next round of combat. Several voices have been heard saying that if Ikalak wishes to survive the next few weeks, they should use the opportunity to regroup whilst Taselak and Sandalak fight over the Northern capital.

For the last few months Taselak and Sandalak have had an agreement to wipe Ikalak off the map.  However until recently these details have been kept underwraps.  The agreement made by Lonewolf, Taselak's King, and Alexei, Sandalak's Dictator at the time, decided that Ikalak had been far to poweful for to longSandalak's reasons include the attack of Toren stronghold and the arragonce of Ikalak asking Sandalak to "assist" them in taking Taselak city.  Taslelak's reasons include the ability to retake all its land from Sandalak with no questions asked, and in general to survive as Taselak in its current state would not of been in any position to fight Ikalak without Sandalaks help.  Terms of the agreement  were origanlly laughed at when Ikalak noticed there was no end date to the contract.  The more sinister meaning of this is that this agreement will only end when Ikalak no longer exists in any form.  The Taslelak advance has been slow and steady over a long period of time slowly but surely conqering Ikalak's undefended regions.  Sandalack's attacks have been much more brutal, using fear and terror as there main weapon in conquering the lands of Ikalak.  Such actions on this scale can only be seen as evil but greatly effective.  Reports of recent battles and looting raids speak of a massive man/ogre actually eating peasents and soldiers following orders from the Sandalak ruler Boswick.  Are these terrifing reports Sandalaks true colours?  Comments made by a Taselak troop leader says that "whatever is happening to the soldiers in Ikalak nothing can be more terrifing then a unit of Ikalakian War elephants trampling into your lines". Such actions are rarely heard of however as more often then not the elephants scared of the loud noises and arrows raining down flee from the battlefield before they can do any considerable damage.

Possibly the shortest rebellion in record took has taken place in Taselak.  Rumours suggest less than an hour after Trilion the Silver Dagger rised up to lead in the insurgents against what he saw as un unjust government he and his followers were struck down.  The rebuttle was swift, crushing the rebellion before it had even really beganDetails are sketchy but there seems no firm reason for the rebellion other than Trilion's greed for power, a dangerous thing for such a young troop leader.

The situation continues to look bad for Ikalak however while they still fight, there is still hope for them.  As the fighting gets closer to Ikalak city the more ferocious the battles will becomeMore casualty on all sides are inevitable, but such is the fate of an Island where there is only war.
+
Two days after the failed rebellion Trilion the Silver Dagger was publicly executed to warn any fellow troop leaders against any ideas against the government and Lone Wolf's long standing reignThis was followed on the 1st of December by Shadow Skull who supported the rebellion, obviously assumming he too could gain a position of power in Taselak.
