The Slave-Wolf of Monsters

Part I

Kain walks through the streets of Cteduul. It's been a lot of time since he has walked through the city-streets for the first time... Today is 200th day he's an avaloniën and the proud about it in his heart is unremoveable... Suddenly he notices that he has been walking through the streets for quite a long time lost in his thoughts. His steps have lead him to the coffee-shop of Cteduul, where he finds the Grima brothers: Sandro and Laia.

K: "Hello my dear friends! How are you?"
S: "Good morning Kain! We're fine here trying to relax a bit between battles... Do you want to join us?"
K: "Sure!"

The general sits down with the Duke of Cteduul and his sister Laia, Countess of Cori.

K: "By the way i was thinking about a strange animal i saw on the last battle... See it was together with the monsters and they treated him like a slave. That made me thought he might not be also a monster, but nothing would have surprised me."
L: "So? How did he look like?"
K: "Well, you can see it by yourself..."

At this moment Kain whistles through the coffee shop surprising the Grima brothers and every other visitant of the special tabern... A strong wolf enters the main room through an opened window from the street. Some of the consumers actually frighten, but Kain quickly asks for calm. The wolf advances slowly through the tables and finally arrives where Sandro, Laia and Kain sit. In that moment Sandro smokes a bit of the Magical Herbs which arrived yesterday afternoon fresh from Norjke.

S: "Amazing... So you achieved to domesticate it?"
K: "Well, that's the surprising: I've never domesticate him. I set him free him and therefore he obeys me, i think."
L: "It's quite strong, isn't he?"
K: "Yes, actually he is... But it seems it isn't a normal wolf. His internal organs are very resistant as well as his bones... And his mouth-strength is amazing"
L: "How do you know?"
K: "Well, in the battle where i found him he was actually kept with strong metal chains... and after me and my men killed the last monster he became very violent and bited the chain... My friends, he cutted a metal chain with his teeth. He lost two of his teeth and actually has some wounds in another three teeth, but luckily i have always some variant of the reknown cannabis with a high percentage of medical components... I give him that so he bites it for a while... It seems he also discovered biting it relaxes him and gets the pain away, so he bites it voluntarily, allthough it was difficult at the beginning that he accepted to do it."
S: "Well, and why do you think his organs and bones are strong?"
K: "In the battle he was attacked by the monsters... They actually tried to make him attack us, but he seemed not to be ready for it. The beasts beated him with long wood sticksvery strong... It would have surely broke a human's head... But when i recognize the wolf medically he seemed to be allright except for the teeth problem."
L: "Quite strange..."
K: "... a lot!"

The wolf hasn't moved since he sat down near Kain.

L: "And how do you call him?"
K: "eeerr... well... i haven't given him a name yet..."
S: "It would be nice if you do so..."
K: "Yes you're right, i think i should start thinking about one... But first i want to investigate on him and his amazing loyalty towards me. I want to know why, and when i do i have to report it to the Monster-Zoo project..."

Part II

After the talk with Sandro and Laia, Kain gets out of the coffee-shop followed closely by the strong wolf... The general has to recruit up another unit, ready to travel through hard lands and fight bravely against the enemy. 50 "Liquor protectors" from his cousin's recruitment center and another 50 "Dirrik Elite's Swordmen" from the biggest city of Avalon. 100 men under his command... and all frightened by the cold and fierce look of the wolf.

He starts his travel towards the far lands between Cteduul and Norjke. While his travel time Kain decides to investigate on the wolf's loyalty...

"Let's see how your behaviour exactly works... where do your limits of loyalty arrive?" says Kain to the wolf, who doesn't change his look.

The general tells his men he's going to make a different route through the woods of Norjke... In fact they are his own region's lands, which he knows very well. The men surprised but also relax by seing the misterious wolf disappear with their capitan and maximum general continue their travel through the valley towards the mountain-region Norjke.

"Well, first deal: let's see if you are trained in following someone fastly and silently..."

Suddenly Kain starts running through the deep forest of the other side of the valley their men are marching now. The wolf doesn't get surprised and quickly follows him easily. Afterwards the general focuses on his own moves and runs through stone galleries in the complete dark. He achieved to orientate himself and not to crash into walls because he knew them already for months and have visited them like twice every day.
The wolf followed him closely all the way, but Kain stopped hearing him shortly before getting out of the galleries. When he got out he got very impressed; the wolf was standing just in front of the exit of the gallery.

"...In...Incredible....How... the hell...?..."

The wolf simply achieved to find a better and faster way to the exit that Kain never knew about, so to arrive before the general. It was the only explanation posible, since the galleries were too small to advance someone.

"Er... well... you're clearly trained in fast runnings as well as a perfect orientation... possibly through smelling the air... Let's see your hunting abilities... There are lots of rabbits in this area... show me your efficiency"

The wolf's face doesn't change at all and just follows Kain into the forest. The first rabbit appears behind a tree and Kain prepares his daggers to be thrown towards the heart of the animal. Kain starts approaching slowly towards the little creature. The battle position is simply interracial. Any race recognises the body tension before a chase and understands it's meaning; simply instinct. The wolf starts approaching Kain and then, in the moment Kain stops before he's too near to be able to throw his daggers, he approaches a rock less meters away from the rabbit; a bit behind Kain.
Kain has his daggers in his hands and is just about to stand up, and throw the daggers. He finally finds fit to do it and jumps into the air so to throw the daggers towards the rabbit. But again the wolf surprises the general. The wolf quickly jumped towards a tree and then got impulse on it just in the rabbit's direction. On the next the second the rabbits neck was broken through a strong bite from the wolf...
