Editor's note: While other papers may employ sorcery and witchcraft to instantaneous transport their news across the continent, the Falasan Inquirer refuses to stoop to such a level and contents itself with simple carts and wagons. Falasan Flag mini.png Viking Infestation

May 24th, 2007

Individual viking troops have been spotted willy-nilly throughout Falasan, some looting while an infiltrator, Raymondo, was recently caught in an attempt on the life of Baron Chuca. Once more, Sordnaz denies any involvement with such events, declaiming viking freedom. However, such a statement does sound odd, coming from the leader of a tyranny.

Sornaz's constant disavowal of Makaran movements, after the move through Menedor and the defence of Winwich, begins to wear thin. Whether these occurred with Sordnaz's complicity, or through his incompetence, it is clear that the Barony of Makar cannot be counted on to honour its agreements; it can only be counted on the honour the greed of its leader--or if he is indeed as ineffectual as he claims, the greed of its nobles.

May 20th, 2007

Eston and its allies suffered yet another defeat today, as the Falasan army entered Belegmon to mop up the remains of their failed attack on Nazgorn. Although most of their routed troops were keeping to the safety of the mountains, some foolhardy soldiers, seeing the apparent safety of their lands over the bridge, raced down the plains to Belegmon...to their doom.

A purge of the traitorous civil servants was commenced, the first step to returning Belegmon to Falasan's fold. As Estonite troops retreat and Ashlantean reinforcements advance, plans for an assault on Anost itself start to become reality.

Falasan Flag mini.png Eston Defeated!

May 18th, 2007

After a week of recuperating from their extensive losses in the Eighth Battle of Belegmon, Eston's nobles must now crawl once more to their capital after suffering yet another defeat in Nazgorn. Their persistent attempts to break through in Nazgorn, in spite of facing what they must realize to be surperior force, has led many to wonder at their sanity. Did they truly believe they could succeed, or are they masochistic?

Falasan's High Marshal mysteriously disappeared 3 days ago, under some suspicous circumstances. Although there is no evidence, many cite this as yet another instance of Estonite treachery. Perhaps the High Marshal's passing led the Northern Federated generals to become overconfident, believing Falasan's troops to be in disarray. If so, then they have been greatly disappointed. Lord Edwardo, your memory will live on!
