Beautiful Lady,
 +
You Give Me Dreams
 +
 +
I have no need for psychics,
 +
Soothsayers or tellers of fortune
 +
Because my lady
 +
Is the ball of crystal
 +
I roll across my mind
 +
When I yearn to dream
 +
About the beauty of my future

 +
Her dream-giving eyes I peeped into

And saw the rare beauty

Of amazon stones

Rich with midnight allure
 +
Virgin to the sun
 +
Sleeping under a blanket of sand
 +
In the Amazon River
 +
Waiting to be awoken
 +
And polished by the smoothness
 +
Of my touch into perfect gemstones
 +
 +
Out far I waded
 +
Into this Amazonian water
 +
And saw 8,641
 +
Purple-eyed African lilies
 +
Floating towards the shores
 +
Of her beauty
 +
Wanting to adorn her hair
 +
And give their fragrance
 +
To the air that surrounds her
 +
 +
These thoughts of her beauty
 +
Has stripped me of my self-control

Because how else

Can I explain this morning

First Contribution

The very first contribution to the Caligan Poem Contest was made by Ukla Mokk, lord of Abadan

PATIENCE

The wind slides carefully
and carries the cries
of man's agony
Long covered in a blanket
of dust and dreams
This battlefield I wear
covers my shoulders,
shrouds my eyes,
breaks my crystal breath
To fall as snow
and purify this haunted ground.

She waits for me..

I see her eyes and push
toward their soft promise.
I hear her sigh and drag
this broken body along.
I feel her skin
(just out of reach)
and strain for her warmth.

The men follow me
in their innocence lost

They see a victory in my purpose,
a siege in my intent

They see hope
that stays a step ahead
and calls them forth
They proudly carry my banner
and cheer for immortality.

I will charge them into
the blades of history
If that is where she waits
to lay down next to me
And take this sword and shield
as her dowry.
She cannot still be waiting,
my only general.

Ukla Mokk Count of Abadan

Second Contribution

This was the second contribution to the contest

Trumpets sound,
And Caligans roar,
As we march into the battlefields.

Arrows fly,
And Caligans brace,
As we prepare for our deadly charge.

"This is it!",
And Caligans charged,
A point of no return.

Clashing of steel,
And Caligans slay,
As enemies fall, one by one.

The end draws near,
And Caligans won,
As they flee, we cheered.

Still, the war drags on,
But Caligans shall prevail,
As final victory shall be ours!

Fret not comrades!
For we're Caligans,
The Lions of East Continent.

We'll stand our ground,
For we're Caligans,
Our land, our home, our future.

For Caligus!
