Our light on Fountain

http://www.kagaherkproductions.com/marker.gif Editorial, December 15

You ever heard of the story of the purring cat? It bit. At the same time as our war against Yssaria, another venom eroded our realm from the other side. Not by the force of power, nor by the force of word, but by the force of blackmail. We gave in, abided perhaps, and handed over Akesh Temple in exchange for some negligible smart-money. That was a good move: those religious fundamentalists ceased from further action and look: we're still alive. The hunger for power was large, however. They snatched Tokat from us ánd from Yssaria and laid their hands on Sordidus, under the false intentions of refurbishing and temporarily keeping them. But isn't there a commandment "Thou shalt not steal"? Enough on that: the East Continent already met the truth on this belief. You can't call it honourful, however, to blackmail the already

weakened realm Caligus was, without an official war declaration. And it seems their foreign politics haven't really advanced by now. As previous weeks offers, although we would better name them unilateral demands, have proven, Light of Fountain seems to be in the delusion that money buys everything. But Caligus is not a realm of money-grubbers. I'm not surprised with the Rampant Lion's conclusion that the Caligeans must be stubborn, although it's of course a flaw of thought. It merely implies that they admit Light of Fountain is blackmailing us, for we would have no other pressing reason to even ponder on releasing the claims than their threats. We are a realm of right-thinking people, not insensitive for good solutions, as our move to the duchy of Partora proves. But we aren't susceptible to blackmail. http://www.kagaherkproductions.com/end.gif
