Just for reference these may not be all the messages.  I may have not found a couple.

Letter from Eliza Tahlim

I find it quite odd that Westmoor seeks peace just after attempting to cause as much damage to our realm as possible (which thankfully is very little). An attack on our borders and a deportation of one of our infiltrators. We may still be in war, but these are hardly acts of peace and I see it as an insult for them to think they can try one last (rather pathetic) attempt to cause us harm before offering such a treaty.

Are we also to forget the costs this involvement has had during this war when we were still fighting against Perdan now that it is not the lands of their ally that is in jeopardy but their own lands? Would they have been so quick as to offer peace had Perdan successfully defended our attack, or would they be quick to snatch up as much land for their realm as they can get their greedy hands on.

I am sorry, but this proposed peace treaty seems awfully flimsy. Surely Westmoor cannot feel so confident that they are unwilling to offer better terms than barring a widely despised Lady within Caligus and Westmoor both a position of authority. I grow restless. Region maintenance is a courtier's work. I seek to follow the traditions of my family and enter combat. Peace with Westmoor at this time would leave Caligus with nothing but idle stagnation for some time to come should we accept the offer. For where would we find a chance to do battle at this time if not with Westmoor?

I see this offer as simple cowardice and little more.

Lady Eliza Tahlim (Dame of Leibo)

Letter from Setpem

I too agree it is odd for the peace treaty. In my opinion it should be tossed aside. Why propose a peace yet still send attacks, send infiltrators and deport a noble of ours. Hardly actions of peace at all. If they do want peace, they should start taking action to show peace instead of opposite. Increased aggression then a peace treaty before any reaction has been had is ridiculous. That with what has been proposed in the treaty. It is just a way to avoid any fault for what has happened.

Letter from Rackir Spearhawk

The peace treaty is a joke. If we were to ever have peace with them they need to sign with Sirion as well. Not to mention they do not even have a ruler to sign the treaty right now. Who is to say the next ruler would even sigh it?

As far as them continuing to attack us I have no problem with it. A treaty is not signed yet.

Letter from Leonardo Francios

I agree. If they wanted peace, why is their Judge riding into Meuse with 90+ Cavalry. Maybe Arch Priest Rackir can do him the favour of breaking a few of his limbs on the rack to teach him a lesson before sending him on his way to the Colonies.

Yours,

Leonardo Francios
Royal Treasurer of Caligus, Baron of Scio

Letter from Audric Murchie

What about our allies, Sirion? Is Westmoor going to offer peace with us and then continue to attack them?

Letter from Eagles Reach Rebirth Ran'ryni

Greetings,

A good point Audric, I keep forgetting we are allied with Siron that is something I will have to get sed to fairly quickly.

May your Path guide you,

Letter from Eliza Tahlim

Lord Eagle,

That is all well and good when you wish to inspire fear in your enemy, or when you are offering terms of surrender. Had even one bit of Westmoor's attack gone well I also would have seen a reason to send an offer of peace, but such is not the case.

Westmoor was crushed in their attack, and their infiltrator captured. For them to only at that time send an offer of peace, when they would have been much more served to take an opportunity to show TRUE peaceful intent by refraining from sending their men in for slaughter then I would probably have not viewed such a flimsy offer of peace as such an insult.

Instead, Westmoor comes across in such a way as to state "Hey, I know we just attacked you and make huge mistakes in starting war with you, but we would very much like it if you would just forget all the trouble we caused you."

And to answer the previous question concerning their restriction of the former Queen Mica. I would be greatly surprised if such a mandate was not already in effect for the former Queen is certainly as hated in Westmoor as she is hated in the rest of the Eastern Continent. Still, this offer of peace seems again to pass blame of their involvement in this war on someone else rather than take ownership and offer something meaningful to show their regret in this war.

Lady Eliza Tahlim (Dame of Leibo)

Letter from Erazem Luegg
Noble Caligans,

I agree with the venerable Lord Ran'ryni. Until such time there is a war, it is normal and even expected to offer fight to Your enemy.

Unlike Dame Eliza I find no difference if Westmoore would be victorious or as it happened defeated when offering peace. They gave a good battle and are courages to attack us on our own territory with a much lesser army. Even in their defeat, they have managed to destroy much work that was performed in Meuse and I expect several of our troop leaders will need to refit sooner, which will prolong our rebuilding. I can respect an enemy who fights. I would find them cowardly otherwise.

However, I am against peace with Westmoor. As Lord Setpem pointed out we need to uphold our alliance. Should Westmoor sign a peace treaty also with Sirion, I would find recent attacks as no objection for peace.

With respect,

Erazem Luegg (Knight of Supra)

Letter from Eliza Tahlim

sir Erazen,

I mean no offense when I sayent this, but I will rest well at night knowing you do not control the orders of my own men if you think their is some sort of honor in sending soldiers to be slaughtered needlessly against a superior force. Our losses in Meuse are no set back. The King had called our units back to Domus for a refit even before the attack and I do not expect the additional recovery to be all that meaningful in comparison to what Westmoor will need to do with not only needing to replace more men than us, but to travel much farther to do it.

I am hesitant to even call that last letter from Westmoor a true offer of peace. It seems to lack any respect for either our sacrifices in our war with them or for the might we might bring down upon them.

Lady Eliza Tahlim (Dame of Leibo)

Letter from Traemlin Augulus

 If I may,

Westmoor's fragile sue for peace left me astounded. Had we not, mere months ago, offered quite generous terms in a peace treaty of our own? Yet Westmoor claimed that a treaty would be "turning their backs" on their allies involved in the northern war.

With that in mind, I see it beyond insulting that Westmoor politicians would even attempt to sway our opinions towards that of peace. If they were so eager to end this war, they should have at least tried to come to some sort of agreement in the original peace treaty that we offered. They should have known that they would be bested militarily as their allies are away fighting Sirion and we have continuously shown to be able to field more potent military forces.

I say that we end this war with honor, dignity, and respect for our enemies; that is, once we have bested them on a fair field of battle. Show them that they cannot be held irresponsible for their past actions. Westmoor has an irrefutable record of always running away when their luck turns cold. We should not, under any circumstances, let them get away with this!

Let us end their feeble hope of premature peace.

Ad Honorem, Ad Mortem,

Traemlin Augulus (Knight of Tokat)

Letter from Alden Fergus

The Westmoorian judge feels fit to deport one of my knights?! Well then I feel that the full weight of the Caligan army and the machines of Judge Rackir should remind him of just who they should wage war with.

Alden Fergus
Count of Aureus

Letter from Montagnard Eucrow

While I have no objection to a peace treaty, I fail to see why we should accept a treaty of status quo. Westmoor is weak, and once we take the offensive they will be on their knees begging us to leave just a single region for them to keep.

At the very least, I say we demand Evora from them. This would leave their southern border fairly undefended and ours far stronger, and would open up Westmoor for attack in case war should break out again.

With respect,

Montagnard Eucrow (Knight of Leibo)

Letter from Markus von Richthofen

Brethren,

In this, I am in full agreement with Sir Eucrow. Evora at least should be ours, allowing for simpler defense against Westmoor in the future, and more viable attack routes, should they go through another "challenging" rebellion leaving the newer leadership against us.

But only after complete domination on the field of battle. Westmoor shall pay dearly for their affronts. Not to mention the deportation of my brother in arms, Sir Crescent Strika.

For the Crimson Lion,
Ad Honorem, Ad Mortem,
