The current head of the Bosworth Family, Norvel is an unassuming nobleman with no ambitions (OOC: an NPC).

In his youth, Norvel traveled to Dwilight, spending time in the Shrine of Seeklander and the surrounding mountains. He became involved with a local native girl, Aedre, promising to marry her so she would give herself to him. Aedre bore Norvel a son, Scur. As months passed, Norvel truly began to love Aedre and intended to make good his empty promise, in spite of dire social consequences. At just that time, however, Aedre, Scur, and much of Aedre's family were captured in an unexpected monster attack. Norvel searched and led troops against the monsters, but they retreated high into the Mountains of Challenge. In his last encounter with the monsters, Norvel found evidence that his family had been killed, and he himself was deeply wounded in the battle. In grief and fear he returned home to Atamara, convinced that adventure led only to sorrow.

Though Norvel does not know it, Aedre and Scur were not killed, see Scur's story for details.

With the death 6 years ago of his elder brother Felix, Norvel assumed leadership of the family and responsibility for Felix's children, of whom Henry is the eldest. Norvel does his best to treat Felix's children as his own. He loves Henry as a son, even though Henry was rebellious and has little but bitterness and sarcasm for his uncle.
