Lately, the priests have become concerned about rumours that have been whispered around about some peasants with a strange affliction. Apparently, they are possessed by some sort of evil spirits that make them believe they are Daimons. The most worrying part, they say, is how fast this dark plague is spreading, with dozens of new cases appearing daily. Could it presage some fell event soon to come?

Nina woke up slashing the dark. Again. Her terrified eyes were open, but she couldn't see a thing, and she breathed with relief. She wasn't there again. He wasn't there with her. Only a dream... about what? Her past? She could remember a past, when there were friends and a girl, lots of hunting and seducing. It didn't seem like her past, though... She felt much stronger than the woman from that story. And anyway, nobody died and came back, right? She smiled, feeling an electric surge run through her nerves to the tip of her fingers. No, that woman was just a story I heard once. I pity her.

Before she could leave the tent and head to the shopkeeper, Nina felt the usual sickness after The Dreams. Running to the wastebasket, she waited, but nothing came out until the nausea passed. She smiled, arranged herself and left. See? I'm getting stronger.
