The Third Age of Beluaterra

is the period since the lowered activity of the Netherworld daimons and the resuming of multiple inter-human wars.

First Age of Beluaterra | Second Age of Beluaterra | Third Age of Beluaterra | Fourth Age of Beluaterra | Fifth Age of Beluaterra | Sixth Age of Beluaterra

New Daimon Overlord

Under unclear circumstances, daimoness Prudent has taken control of the Netherworld forces. Since then, daimon incursions don't appear to attempt to destroy the human race any more, and mostly act as any other human realm. Under her leadership, netherworld forces adopt the policy of avoiding cities unless the realm has otherwise provoked them.

Crisis in Eastern Beluaterra, First purely human war

After daimons decided to occupy Avalon's capital in Cteduul, neighbouring smaller realms took the opportunity to expand. Republic of Fwuvoghor and Valhus attacked the weakened realm and took most of their lands, until Enweil decided to step in and defeat Valhus, a campaign which ended up destroying the small aggressive state lead by the unpopular Valhalla Valentine, as well as defeat Fwuvoghor's invading armies. While Bara'Khur participated in the takeover of Valhus' capital, Riombara and Kingdom of Alluran attempted to come to Avalon's aid against the daimons, but were blocked by Mordred of Fwuvoghor, which seriously strained their relations. Following shows of military might and diplomacy, Avalon ended up managing to keep a few of their regions, Republic of Fwuvoghor about doubled its size, including the addition of two duchies and the moving of their capital, and Bara'Khur reclaimed their lost city of Wudenkin. Notably, the realm of Fronen was re-created in Vur Hagin.

Re-creation of Fronen

Created through the friendly secession of Vur Hagin from Avalon during daimonic occupation of the host realm, Cyrus Hyrion quickly rose to rulership. He is one of the oldest remaining people that was in the old Fronen, and his family held dukeships in the realm during its brighter days.

Daviald Incident in the South-East

Destruction of Vlaanderen

The realms of Mesh, Heen, and Sint destroyed the realm of Vlaanderen. Mesh took Bajit and Cwellndell and raided the regions south of Reeds until they went rogue. Meanwhile, Heen took over Naraka. Heen together with their federated partner Sint also raided Ren Madragas and Zisswii. Zisswii went rogue while Ren Madragas was held by Sint for a time before it also went rogue. The city of Reeds, unable to feed itself began starving. Heen and Sint forces marched into Reeds as the city spiraled into anarchy. In the aftermath, Heen started a takeover. In response to the takeover, Mesh lowered relations with Heen to peace. War however did not erupt between the two realms over Reeds.

Crisis in the North

For some time, Sint and Neo Grehk had warred Old Grehk intensely, reducing it to a few regions and sieging the capital on multiple occasions. When the area settled down, Fronen arrived, declaring war on Neo Grehk and starting takeovers, acquiring Yipinalke. Old Grehk not wanting Fronen to expand north, a three-way war began, and eventually Neo Grehk was merged back into Old Grehk, Neo Grehk's leadership eventually replacing Old Grehk's who had fail to gain their realm significant support, and so relations with Sint got better. When Old Grehk could not stop Fronen's forces and refused to accept Fronen keeping Yipinalke, a key path to the city of Vore Fronen had taken from the rogues, Thalmarkin stepped in to aid them, but they too could not push Fronen out. In a controversial move, Sint then attacked with Old Grehk troops, but they too were defeated and the city of Vozzessdor was quickly sieged afterwards. The consequences of these events have yet to fully manifest themselves.

Partition of Republic of Fwuvoghor

Fwuvoghor had earned almost a year of relative internal stability since Mordred Le-Fay took over and reformed the realm, following it's rebellion-prone nature under the monarchy. However, he had also made multiple enemies abroad in the process and his foreign policies were not very popular among most of the rulers. As his exiles served as pressure groups abroad and formed lobbies, he had finally made official enemies of realms when he had attacked Avalon, and tensions only grew from there. The foundations of the realm itself began to rot as more and more foreign agents joined it or as the realm members became moles, and when Avalon declared war it all went downhill with continuous military losses and religious strife. As Hetland took the northern regions, Enweil reclaimed the city of Fwuvoghor which had seceded from them to form the Republic, and other regions switched to Enweil on their own. No longer being the capital since Fwuvoghor moved to Zod, the takeover was started quickly and the Riombaran forces which came to defend it were slaughtered. Hetland forces came to fight Avalon, but did not succeed in pushing them back. When Republic of Fwuvoghor died, Hetland and Avalon ceased fighting, but Riombara would not accept peace and a new war evolved, which would eventually be known as "Delvin's War".

"Delvin's War"

With Kingdom of Alluran first blocking passage to Enweil and giving a logistical advantage to Riombara, the battles were few and damages small, but with Avalon's support Enweil simply overpowered their foe. When Delvin, Grand Chancellor of Riombara threatened Irombrozia and continued to speak of annexation, Irombrozia declared war and sided with Enweil, at which time Kingdom of Alluran declared war on Enweil. No longer having a diplomatic barrier, Enweilian forces now enjoyed the quicker southern route, and there was little Riombara could do to stop the allied forces. Still unwilling to sign peace, despite numerous losses and important damage to their regions and infrastructure, they managed to gain the support of foreign realms condemning Enweil's "imperialism" and "arrogance". Enweil withdrew from the South-Eastern scene as the realms of Mesh, Hetland, Heen, and Sint declared war on them.
