Childhood
Kurohyou seemed to be the sibling to get into a lot of trouble. Everytime that he and his sister, Hei, went to the market place for groceries, he would always seems to be wondering off, and get into trouble with the merchants. The first time that he had first hand experience with a sword was when Hei had brought him with her to the local training hall. Kurohyou, age of 7, had never been there before, so he had gotten himself excited, impatiently waiting for what was in store for him. When they got there, Kuro was astonished to see that there were so many people there, young and old. Hei had told him to just sit in the corner and watch her spar. But, with Kuro's tendency to not stay still, he decided that he was going to grab a wooden sword and spar with one of the other children. He asked a very quiet child, called himself Gin, if he would want to spar with him. He accepted and both took their positions. They both went at it, and for 15 minutes, Gin and Kurohyou both collapsed and began laughing at the fact that neither of them had the strength to finish the duel. Everyone around them began applauding, for they were the only two that caught everyone's attention. They both bowed and went their separate ways. Hei was amazed that he was able to actually last 2 minutes in a duel, for she never saw him practice. And then they set off for home...
Entry into the Taran Army
Joined the army of Tara at the age of 19 years. Before he set off to the capital to enlist, Hei asked that he reconsidered. He knew that she was concerned for her younger brother. He bid his family farewell, and went to the capital. As he went through the hardships of training at the barracks, he became fairly good with a sword and developed efficient leadership skills. Once he left the barracks, he was sent into battle, and since then has been loyal to the realm of Tara and proving himself to be a essential asset to both comrads and family. Kurohyou has a pet dog named Kyoku. He follows Kurohyou around, even during battle, and he always seems to get into trouble with some of the Taran troopleaders.
Moving On...
Kurohyou had been fighting for Tara for several years and has gained some whole-hearted friends. But at some point during this whole war against the Southern Alliance of Carelia, Abington, and RedSpan, he decided that it was about time to look for a new battlefield to test his skills.
In his decision of figuring out where to go, he remembered his sister writing to him about the South East Island. Constant warfare, bloodshed, it was a place that seemed to be calling to Kuro. He was psyched to go there, but was also surprised that his friends, Aethelmaer Sterksain, brother Trystrem Sterksain was going also.
When the two entered the realm of Sandalak, they showed that they were a useful asset. But soon later, they were awstruck when they received news of Aethelmaer's death. And in order to get through it, they vowed to make sure that the one that did the deed would pay. Then, Kuro received word that Trystrem was captured and Ikalak wasn't on planning on letting him live. And now he hopes that Trystrem knew what he was doing, and prayed for the best...
