Enchanted Book of Ozrat
It had barely been a day after his release from Arcaea when Dray was feeling restless and headed out of the city for a walk. Just outside the city, he noticed a few demolished huts and blood close by. On inquiring from the fearful peasants, he came to know that monsters had attacked that hamlet and killed a farmer and his two children. The wife had been abducted and not killed there. Dray, enraged, set out to locate the monsters and make them pay for their atrocities.
As he searched in the woods and caves around the hamlet, he came across one's and two's of monsters who he dispatched with ease. Finally, he came upon the main group, led by a really large and ugly brute. Luckily for Dray, he had managed to remain undetected as the monsters were just finishing bleeding the poor abducted woman. To keep the element of surprise and gain a further advantage, Dray rushed towards the monsters with a loud yell, slashing and stabbing with his knife.
Dispatching the four minions quickly, Dray finally faced the leader one on one. After a brief struggle, he managed to slay the monster, sustaining a gash on his arm and another on his chest in the process. The woman was long dead and there was nothing Dray could do. But as he searched around the monster's camp, he chanced upon a book.
The book was really old and yellowed but in fairly good condition. The edges were gilded and the writing in shining golden letters. While he could not read it, he knew it was a valuable book which would likely earn him a fair bit of gold. Pleased with his find and the heavy book, Dray set off back towards Ozrat satisfied by a good days work.
