- Why? Is there some sort of edit-limit I am not aware of? The quality of the final product has no bearing on the number of edits to the page. And it is the final product that 95% of users will see. --J.Roberts 15:36, 4 January 2009 (CET)
Multiple edits of the same page fill up logs like recent changes - it's considered more polite to use the preview button rather than edit the same page multiple times, especially is there is no new content. --The1exile 15:47, 4 January 2009 (CET)
- Except that they don't. Pulling directly from recent changes:
- 17:32 Atamara/Nazia (5 changes; Page history) [J.Roberts (5×)]
- Before I made the 5th edit, it looked like:
- 17:32 Atamara/Nazia (4 changes; Page history) [J.Roberts (4×)]
- Changing from "4x" to "5x" doesn't really fill a log, I would assume. Ultimately, my snarky "why" response up above was in lieu of a rant about how it's fairly impolite to chastise someone's editing habits, when the quality of your wiki depends on those edits being made in the first place. --J.Roberts 16:00, 4 January 2009 (CET)
