Almost ten full days later, RedSpan has still not entered into the island-wide fray. While there may be several reasons for this, many RedSpanners believe the fault to lie with their own king, Dielo. After some quiet mumblings and grumblings about the king being too indecisive and keeping the rest of RedSpan in the dark as to their political goals, nobles began to speak up.

The Straggling Realm 16th April |
As the wars of Atamara continue to heat up, RedSpan, having stayed out of the conflict until now, may very well be jumping into the fray soon. With Carelia's sudden withdrawl from the SA, many RedSpanners were immediately up in arms, wishing to pay back what many considered a "blatant insult." Infiltrator AJ, known for his role in sparking the RedSpan/Darka war, and Kradus of RedSpan are among the most outspoken RedSpanners to speak in favor of joining into the war. So far, still newly appointed King Dielo has not made any real decisions, prefering to see exactly what former ally Carelia has planned.

Atamara in Turmoil 15th April |
The wars in Atamara have broadened in recent weeks to the extent that RedSpan is now the only realm in Atamara not to be involved in what seems to have become a continent wide struggle stemming from the initial conflicts in the north. Indeed since the time of the publication of our last issue, Abington, the Cagilan Empire, Carelia and Talerium have all managed to get involved in the Northern Conflicts in one guise or another and diplomacy between the realms of Atamara has become increasingly volatile and unpredictable.

Trouble in the Southern Federation. 15th April |
In a surprising move, Carelia formally withdrew from the Southern Federation over the weekend after spending several years as an integral member of the Southern bloc. According to diplomatic protocol, war was declared between Carelia and the remaining SF members immediately. However, King Kronos has already stated publicly that his kingom's alliances with RedSpan and Abington "will stand" despite his sudden withdrawal from the SA. ref
