Searching for Boght

There was a time, when the human kind and the fairy walked the isle of life side by side. This is such a tale,

All of life is a sea, on which we all sail. As we take passage on the ship called family, we learn a great many things of life. But nothing can prepare us for the day we set foot on dry land, and stand our own grounds in life. It takes not long for any to learn this basic truth of the journey, we all are about to take. This truth be, that any who sails the sea, or dwell the land; must learn, that life is a gift, not to be taken lightly! For misery and suffering are for free; but happiness and joy, demand lots of work, and constant vigilance! When we eventually set sail, on our own ship called wedlock; and learn that love, loyalty, devotion, and friendship, will make one's life truly worth living. If there is another meaning to life, then it be the one evil gives it.

Each Journey through life is different from the other. But its eventually the wind in your life's sail that moves it. What we all do shapes that wind.

Once, I can not remember when; a boy was born. A noble peasant he was. Fair as he was, people easily took a liking to him. In the same village an ancient evil witch, had finaly given birth to a young daughter. She knew no male child could ever sucseed her, as her power she could only pass on from mother to daughter.

Innocent as a child is always born, the little girl played in the forest, practicing her magical powers; growing plants, and transforming things. Without her mother's knowing, she would sneak off and play out by the village edge. Her mother an evil witch would not mind her daughter being naughty, its being good, or encouraged to being good; that bothered her.

Young Boght Suadurix grew up with her. He too would play by the village edge. The two children grew up happy together. As they grew older they fell in love. The young girl's mother grew increasingly more and more concerned with her daughter's development. Years her secret was kept safe.

One day outside of the village, she met with Boght like they always do. This time, he knelt down before her, and asked her to be his wife. She did not know if she was to be out of her mind with joy, or fear. For she knew, that now she could not hide the truth any longer from her mother.

In a burst of passion, she told everything to Boght. That she is a witch, a good witch! About how her mother wanted her all these years to become an evil witch; and how she used to trick her mother into believing her daughter was going to succeed her as evil witch! Boght, was stunned! Stunned by the truth! But he did not denounce her as a witch, and continued to love her, even knowing that she practiced witchcraft. He loved her, because he knew that life is so much more than him alone. That there are people out there, who thought differently then he does. So he accepted her, for he saw in her still the women he had came to love.

Both asked the blessing of Boght his family for marriage. Being good parents they did not discriminate, and blessed the couple. Knowing her mother would never bless her, she took her lover by the hand and they fled. Far away, across the land and sea, until they reached a new land.

In this strange new land they disguised themselfs as ordinary peasants. As they knew not how the people would react to the truth. She worked as seamstress, while Boght became an artisan. The fruits of their labour were much appreciated. As a result, Boght became a merchant, selling his products to far off places. The happy couple were blessed as their first child was born. Twins! Two sons, who they named, Fys'er Suadurix and Còir Suadurix. A year later, Fys'er and Còir, where blessed by a little sister. Cooidjaghtoilaght Suadurix, she was named.

With their children born, Boght had to work harder then ever before. To make ends meet. All his hard work had made him a local celebrity. His products were sold local and exported to far places. Including the land where they fled from. The years her daughter was married to Boght, the evil witch spent looking for her daughter. Still obsessed with her succession, the evil witch did not care about her daughter's happiness. So when she found one of the products of Boght at a local store, She feld the signature of his Aura on it, and without any doubt, she knew her search had ended. All she needed was to know where the product came from. Asking the storekeeper where he got the product from, she traced the product back to the supplier, who led her to the harbor, and straight to the captain of a cargo ship.

She did not feel any exitement, or joy for finding her daughter's where abouts. No, she felt such anger, that all she could think of was ways to make her vengance felt. Her plotting went on day and night. The innkeepers of the inns she stayed at. They where her first victims. Her disguises failed. All because her rage showed trough her acts. The innkeepers wanted to get rid of her as soon as they could. Because with her around their customers stayed away. No matter what they tried, they could not get rid of her. She stayed as long as she wanted. Retracing the travels of Boght's products.

Each time she gets more and more agressive. Each time she kills the person able to provide her the next link. Each time she has to find an other product of Boght sold near her, and follow on the journey of that product back to Boght. Leaving a trail of corpses behind, has many a township's bailiffs hot on her trail. The murders left no clues only a trace. The Bailiffs were one step behind her. One more murder, one more product linked the victims to Boght.

So it became known to the local Bailiff of Boghts town, that someone was killing anyone connected to Boght's products. Boght was called upon, to apear before the bailiff. There he heard of the crime wage his mother-in-law left in her tracks. The bailiff told him, all the victims where linked to his products. The answers demanded by the bailiff, led Boght to break his silence, and tell the truth, the truth he kept hidden all this time.

The local duke was present at the hearing of Boght. Afther listening to the evidence given by Boght, he feld compassionate about Boght and his family. Taking pity on him, the duke orderd the city guards to protect the house of Boght. Day and night the guards where on their post. But nothing happened.

The murders came closer to home. It would be any day now. To protect her children, their mother had Boght make them a medalion. In it she poored all her magic, and gave it to her children. Instructing them to allways wear it. Its magic would protect them fom the powers of the evil witch. She could no longer harm them with her magic. So now it was up to the bailiffs men to stop her. Not that she expected them to be any match to her powers. Boght decided to stand his ground before her, and had baught a sword.

The day her mother arrived in town, she took her children to the river, where she placed her children in a rowing boat on the river. She told them to go with the river flow of life. Their parrents wealth was hence theirs. “Put your trust in the fairies and flow with the river of life. It shall take you to your destiny. My place is by your father, so your evil grandmother will not find you. She wants your mommy, but will subject you kids to her evil will, before your time to face her has come. Be brave, his lordship is a friend of your father, and he shall take care of you, untill your old enough to do that yourself.” She payed the boatmen to take the kids to his lordships mansion.

When she arrived at home, Boght and she looked at eachother, their eyes locked in a fixed gaze. As the time they had dreaded for so long now, finaly arrived. They gave eachother one last embrase, and got ready to face her. Her mother had come. “Halt you evil Witch! In the name of the Alderman, by the power invested in me by the bailiff; I here by arrest you for the countless murders you have commited!” The captain bailiffs guards shouted. “Captain, captain, captain. You should have been told by now; by my prodigal daughter. I am no match for your sword!” The evil witch said, as she braught her hands from under her black coat; and bewitched the captain of the guards. Frightend the guards saw their captain collapse to the ground, as if he was an empty bag of flesh. A black bird flew from the ground where he lay.

For some of the guards this became a little to much, as they ran from their post. While the others ran, some stuck around. But soon they to befell the same faith, as their captain before them. Eighteen black birds flew from the scene, as she so evil laughed at these loyal men. She broke the front door down, of Boghts house. Boght did not hesitate for a single second, as he launched his attack on his evil mother in law. But with a flick from her wrist, she turn him into a black bird, as she had done with the guards before him.

“Mother, NO!” She shouted. But her mother did not pay any attention to her. “You! Child... My prodigal daughter. Have you seen, what you made your poor mother do? You got the bailiffs men afther me! The alderman wants me hung! You would make such a evil witch. You womming home with me child! So I can finnish your training, and sacrefice your children to the evil lord! I know you have them!” The evil witch said to her daughter. “You will NEVER get my children, and I will NEVER become an evil witch! Im a good witch, and have used my powers for good! My children shall never sucseed you eighter. The good lord protects them. They are under his fairies protection. You can touch the life of them. For all my powers I have bound to their souls. I have no more powers then My husband Boght does. You are beaten mother! But you dont realise it yet!” She told her mother off.

“We shall see about that!” The evil witch treatend, and took her daughter by the arm, dragging her from her house. The guards looked for them in the citty. As the Bailiff was warned by his scared men by now. The towns priest was with them, using the power of prair, to strengthend and protect the bailiffs men, against the evil witch her powers. “They will never find you girl! I must punish you for your disobediance, daughter. I will turn you into an old women. From now on I name you Caillagh. As such not even your children will recorgnise you.” As such she treatned, she turned her only daughter into an old women.

Trieng to make her way trough the citty gates, disguised as elderly mother and mature daughter. A simple disguise. Nothing has to be complex to work, for simplicity can do the job just as well. The guards at the gates did not recorgnise them. They would'nt have been able to prevent the evil witch her escape, if not for her distructive temperment. “Do we stop them to sergeant, sir?” The corporal asked. “No, corporal! These are to old to fit the profile. If it where them, you would spot them easy. The old women can pas for an evil witch, but the younger one can not pass for her. Its said that the young Suadurix women is as beautyfull as a rose, with skin like rose peddles. This one as ugly that I would'nt want to suffer a face as ugly as hers, longer then I have to.” The evil witch overheard this, and in her fury dropped the disguise. The guards she attacked where strengthend by prair, and counter attacked her. They struck at her with their weapons a fatal blow. She fell to the ground laughing like an old hag. As she died, her last words where. “You shall never find my daughter again, as she can't break the spell on her, without her powers.”

The guards thinking that Caillagh was the Evil Witches accomplish, tried to arrest her aswell. In fear she fled the citty, and was never seen of again. Ninetheen black birds flew afther her. Before anyone could realise, that she was Boghts wife. Last that was known about her where abouts, was that she had taken a small boat in the harbor, and setted out to sea. All the islands where searched by the duke. But no such luck. They never found her again. The Duke raised her children like they where his own. As they grew to adult age, the duke raised their social status to that of noblemen, and noble born lady. In honor of their parents.

At age seventeen, the magic of the medalion kicked in; and kept them from aging any further. No harm could befall them. Wounds would heal, even serious ones. When they received their parents wealth, they setted out seperatly in search for Boght! Sailing the seas, hoping that their father would spot them from the sky, and lead them to their mothers isle.
