People
First and foremost, Battlemaster is a social game. It is a game about people, the noble troop leaders who fight for their realm.

Family
* Characters and Family
You control the destiny of one, and only one, family.

Troop Leaders
You control one or more troop leaders. Each of them should have her own wants and personality. She can be happy or depressed, a loyal follower or a power-hungry rebel. The choice is hers, as are the consequences.
Character Attributes
Every noble must have a class and will have a rank. He will also gain prestige, honour and other attributes.
The Ruling Class
These are the people who fill the Government Positions. Every realm will need to have a ruler, general, judge and a banker. They are each responsible for overseeing an aspect of the realm.
Places
The Battlemaster world is composed of several Islands, each of which is a world unto itself. Each island is made up of competing realms. Each of these realms composed of various regions.
Realm Types
Your Realm might be governed by any one of a number of Government Systems. It might be a Democracy, Republic, Theocracy, Monarchy, or a Tyranny.
Economy
Of course, your realm will not last very long unless it receives enough food to feed its people. It might grow its food in rural regions, or it might trade or loot the food. Of course, in order to loot the other realms, and defend your own realm from your enemies, you will need troops. To recruit troops, you will need gold, which is most easily acquired by exchanging the bonds you get from taxes at a bank.
War
No realm will be able to avoid spilling blood every so often. To fight a war, you will need a unit. You have a large variety of choice when it comes to recruiting your unit. You might opt for infantry, archers, or mixed infantry. Prestigeous nobles might even command a unit of cavalry, or enigmatic special forces.
Of course, war is not just battles. For one thing you must travel in order to find your enemy. Or through the skilled use of diplomacy, a wise ruler can render war unnecessary. In between wars, why not spend your time at a tournament.
