Peasant Revolt | |||
The people in Commonyr are revolting!
The revolting people have done something utterly unbelievable - kicked out the local government and declared independence! These stinking peasants think they can rule themselves! Anarchy and heresy!

The people in Hagley are revolting! 2 gold have been stolen from various tax collector offices. Production is dropping 3 points.

Armonía has taken control of Oc Lu Pesh , a former rogue region. Armonía now controls 9 regions.
Appologies for the lack of news! Half of New Westmoor's scribes were deported to Beluaterra for being Saxon spies - which is my poor excuse as to why the paper has been empty for over a week. Imagine this collumn full of looting and us losing Dulbin and that pretty much covers what we missed.

It was a sad day for Westmoor! Hopelessly outnumbered by huge numbers of troops we took our chance to attack fighting few against many. None of those brave boys had any doubt about the odds of the battle in Greatbridge. Westmoor managed to raise a staggering army the largest the kingdom has ever held but it was not enough to compete with the 25,000 CS Fontan slave army their arrows blotting out the sun. Thomas Foxglove the lord General was wounded in the battle and the retreat had to be ordered by Marshal Ravier Nebehn.
After and before the battle heated exchanges passed between nobles of Westmoor and Fontan of which I’ve published four letters (three Fontanese) on our letters page. It is pretty easy to spot the flaws in how Fontan tries to justify itself but I’ll leave that to the readers to decide for themselves. After all we are a monarchy and don’t need to tell people how to think (irony not unobserved). Rhidana Dubhaine again addressed the nobles of Westmoor telling them all to cast of the shackles of evil King Jor (same old stuff as last time). The Lord General rebuffed this and then Rhidana Dubhaine and Cnaeus Aulus of the Scipii both counter argued by telling us we were making everything up. This is surprising for myself as when I read the Lord General's letter everything he said seemed a perfectly acurate description of the last five months.
After our initial success in Commonyr and Oberdorf things have not been going well. We have as much as possible been trying to avoid fighting Fontan’s enormous army but there’s only so much you can do when another realm controls the battlefield. It is still a mystery how Fontan can maintain the largest army on the continent with three intact regions and a city.
