Type Ring
Discovered By Joline
Discovery Date April 9, 2008
Discovery Location Corniel, Atamara
Abilities Prestige +7
Current Owner (unknown)

Finding

I found this ring after a long and terrible battle with a large group of zombies who were being led by a wraith. The zombies fell quickly to my blade, but the wraith was another story. The thing kept swooping around and it was all I could do to defeat it. While digging through the ancient crypt after the fight, I found the ring among other normal treasure. The ring is constructed of gold and inscribed with silver. It has a finely cut ruby set on it and the word Life is engraved on the inside. I was in the realm of Falasan in the region of Corniel when the ring was found.

The above is an excerpt from the journals of Joline Rasthaven.

Robert had asked the cooks to prepare a light meal, soon after the sun set, just as Duke Willem had asked him to. It consisted of some pork cooked on a spit, vegetables from the garden, freshly baked bread and some wild berries. The wine had been poured into goblets. The room was illuminated with candles, leaving a warm, close, intimate setting.

As Ilya and Willem ate, the conversation wove through the topics of rebuilding in Nazia, parents in Menedor, Loronzo of the Mist leaving the realm, of days passed, of times ahead.

- Ilya, I have let you guess on my gift to you and now it is time to give it to you. I hope that you like it. It is my wedding gift to you. I'm sorry that it has taken so long to give it to you.

Willem reached into his belt pouch and removed an object. He fingered the Elemental Ring of Life, hoping that she would like it. He'd given her a simple ring earlier, when he proposed to her. This one was different, though. He didn't like to compare the two, for they were different. They had different meanings. One was not better than the other, just different. He took her hand and offered it to her, hoping that it pleased her.

Sometimes he over explained things. Feeling that this might be one of those times he resolved that he could tell her the tale of how he acquired it later, perhaps as they rode towards Barad Falas.

Some time after that, Ilya trusted the ring to Lady Willow Rossini, for reasons only known to the two of them. Lady Willow, however, was unable or unwilling to give the ring back, and it remained with her until it was no longer seen.

Repairs

First repairs by Hithithil, adventurer of Falasan.

Lost and Found

Time is an enemy you can't defeat. It takes all and gives back nothing. This ring was too lost in the stream of time and somehow was collected by a orc pack where it adorned the pack leader's finger. The valiant adventurer Artorias cut off the ring from its cold, dead hands after a mighty battle with the pack. The ring was further improvised by the orcs and it may have some magical properties.
