Today, on the seventy-seventh day, of the sixth year, of the second millenium, the second major uprising in Giblot history began! Late this afternoon, Shaman Detinu, Count of Rollsovar announced his intention to overthrow the Democratic Regime and return power to Giblot - taking everybody by surprise. Here is his campaign speech in full.

Declaration of Rebellion

Shaman is calling for an uprising against the current government! In a passionate speech he said:

This democracy is not working. There have been many times that democracies have come to an end to support the greater good; that greater good being the establishment of The Giblot Empire. Realms no longer fear us, this must be changed.

We debate far too much which inhibits actions being taken. This is clear. There is no trust in this realm anymore. We fight and bicker like little Rollsovan school children.

The democracy needs to go. Power needs to return to Giblot.

Day One

Little has yet happened in regards to Shamans revolutionary measures after he called for an uprising against Democracy so late in the day. It remains to be seen how many will hear of his calls to arms before the morning, although several asked what his full intentions were in the matter before they decided which side to take in the Rebellion.

TwistedKitty's initial reaction to the Uprising seemed to be one of conflicting thoughts on the matter. Although she empathised much with Shamans position she did not immediately make any strong indications that she would step down in favour of a new government, though she did invite discussion on this subject which led to fears from some that she was going to betray the democracy. She quickly pledged for calm and called for the Loyalists and Revolutionaries alike to stay out of each others way as a Peaceful solution is searched for.

A few hours after TwistedKitty first heard of the Rebellion. She surrendered to Shaman and his insignificant forces, under the guise of attempting to limit the bloodshed. Although she knew that Shaman could never have won out in this Rebellion considering the strength of the Loyalist Forces in the Capital and other strategic points across the Realm. TwistedKitty betrayed the very thing she swore to protect when she was sworn into Office. Her rotten Republican heart had reared its ugly head again.

Aftermath

Shortly after TwistedKitty's capitulation, Shaman found that due to the indecent manner of TwistedKitty's surrender, he could not reform the Government the way he'd like. The institutions of Democracy were still entrenched and intact across Giblot. This did not dissuade Shaman from his efforts however, and he still worked to remove the strongest supporters of Democracy out of their offices, with Goergyboy being stripped of his title as Duke of Giblot only to be replaced by the Republican Zealot, Alexander. Several Protests have already formed over the action, although Shamans response remains to be seen after he was incapacitated sometime earlier today.
