About Great House JeRavosi
Great House JeRavosi was announced in the Winter of 24 YD and headquartered in Port Raviel, D'Hara.
The purpose of the Great Houses is to offer structure and ranking. The House is controlled by the Crown Prince and/or Crown Princess who must together have at least 6 nobles sworn to their cause to even found the House. Beneath them are 3 Princes: trusted lieutenants and proven vassals. These Princes enforce the will of the Crown Princess. Additionally, they serve as potential heirs to the throne. Each House will likely do things differently where the crown can be passed to the most deserving, the elected, or an heir of the body. To hold the title of Prince, one must have at least one noble personally sworn to them. Below the Princes are the Protectors, and beneath them are the retainers. Retainers are unaffiliated nobles who have joined the House but not sworn any oaths to a Prince, as the Protectors have.
As for social mobility, Seniority among Princes is determined by the amount of nobles sworn to them. A Prince may be challenged for their position by a protector if that protector has a larger network sworn to them in turn. In this way, the line of succession will be clear, yet malleable. A Crown Prince may not be challenged in this manner, however, when a Crown Prince is unable to discharge his or her duties, the most powerful of the Princes will take the Crown and the reigns of the House. That Power, again, being determined by the number of Protectors they have sworn to them. In this way, there will be political bodies and schisms within the House itself, much like there are in the nations we see today.
Territories of Great House JeRavosi
Thus far, JeRavosi intends to claim Port Raviel, Qubel Lighthouse, Farrowfield, Chesland, Odona, Panabuk. As yet, No JeRavosi Guildhouses have been constructed, therefore everything is up for grabs!
