| April 15, 2006 - The looting and occupation of the city of Ibladesh continues unopposed. Small forces of Itorunt and Ibladesh troops continue to sacrifice themselves by attacking the massive occupying forces, to no avail. At this point, the only troops remaining in the city are those of the occupying forces. Morale and loyalty of the city is beginning to drop. The city walls are being dismantled by the occupying forces.
April 14, 2006 - Pontifex Sorcha, ruler of Ibladesh was captured by the Perdanese army in the city of Ibladesh, leaving Ibladesh with no ruler. After a short time, Quake was elected as the new Pontifex of Ibladesh. Perhaps with a reasonable ruler in control in Ibladesh, reason will return, and this war can finally be put to an end. April 13, 2006 - In a major tactical and strategic victory the armies of Perdan and Ubent assaulted and sacked the White City of Ibladesh! The attacking armies vastly outnumbered the defenders, with over twice the number of troops as the defending forces. After a short and bloody battle, the defenders were completely routed. Over half their troops were killed in the battle, and almost all the remaining troops wounded. During the course of the attack the walls of the city, already reduced to a mere mote and bailey following repeated attacks by Perdanese and Ubent forces, suffered extensive damage. TK Jones, the King of Itorunt, was in the city at the time of the attack and suffered a minor wound. Witnesses report widespread looting an pillaging by the victorious armies. Current reports show well over a thousand gold looted, and the looting has barely begun. Why were there only a few hundred defenders to hold off the thousands of attackers? Where were the defending forces of Ibladesh, and their staunch ally, Itorunt? It seems that Ibladesh and Itorunt have sent large forces off to the Mines of Isadril to attack the Ubentian militia. Itorunt has also sent a significant number of forces south to chase after Perdan's Murderous Wrath, the elite Perdanese battlegroup. For nearly a week the PMW has been on a diversionary looting spree through Yssaria, southern Ibladesh and eastern Itorunt. When Ibladesh and Itorunt took the bait, sending forces south and east to try and trap them, the Perdanese army swept down through Al Aquabah and into Ibladesh, virtually unopposed. April 12, 2006 - It has been a quiet few days on the East Island. The siege on Oligarch by Sirion and Fontan continues. No region control changes, and no major battles reported. As for the Kalmar Rebellion, Legatus DeSyrr, a noble from the pre-rebellion government of the Kalmar Islands, has posted his response to Lalakis' Second Statement. This is the statement where Lalakis says that El Cid's rebellion against the Kalmar Islands government is OK. That is, it's OK as long as El Cid gets the blame, and Lalakis gets to form Avamr Jr. in the Islands, despite the fact that the original Kalamar Islands government wanted nothing whatsoever to do with Avamar. In his response, Legatus DeSyrr raises some very good points. If you are interested in following the events of the Kalmar rebellion, I highly recommend reading Legatus' article. One particular point that Legatus brings up is the possibility of a draft in the Kalmar Islands. Does El Cid really plan on drafting peasants to play soldiers in his army? That sounds like a great plan to get the Islands back on a good footing. Draft what few peasants remain on the islands in order to support his despotic plans. Do the nobles supporting this illegitimate Kalmar Islands government really think that El Cid has what it takes to turn the Kalmar Islands into a flourishing, prosperous realm? If so, I recommend that they take a look at El Cid's history of bannings, rebellions, and hopping around from realm to realm. After that, if you still want to follow him, then you deserve to get what's coming to you. Oh, and by the way, did you know that El Cid claims to be the secret, illegitimate love child of Doc Primus, long-time ruler of Sirion and Gwynyth Kazan, current Queen of Caligus? I wonder if Doc Primus and Queen Gwynyth know about that? Seeing as how Doc Primus is 52, Gwynyth Kazan is 37, and El Cid is 34, I suppose, if it's true, that this would make Doc Primus a child molester, since Gwynyth would have been 3 years old at the time she gave birth to El Cid! Does Doc Primus know that El Cid claims Doc Primus is a pedophiliac? Does Queen Gwynyth know that she gave birth when she was 3 years old? I would hope this is just another lie by El Cid. April 10, 2006 - I have added a few new letters to the Kalmar Rebellion page. As expected, and to no one's surprise, El Cid is showing his terrorist colors by threatening to execute hostages every turn until the other rulers on East Island do what he tells them to do. *yawn* How cliché. The really interesting letter is one that Sir Lalakis sent to all the rulers on the East Island. In his letter Lalakis completely reverses his position on the rebellion, and says that the rebellion is a Good Thing™, as long as El Cid takes the blame for it before handing the Kalmar Islands over to some self-proclaimed Avamar government-in-exile. How convenient for Lalakis. Someone else does all the dirty work so Lalakis can keep his hands clean. Hey Lalakis, we have some news for you: the Kalmar Islands are not going to become Avamar Jr. If you want to reform your little elven happy-land, then go take it back from the people who took it from you in the first place!. Don't go around trying to take advantage of someone else's misfortune to further your own dubious ends. I'm willing to bet that most of the people who called Kalmar Islands their home before El Cid came along don't give two shake's of a rat's tail about you or your plans for your Avamar Jr. Oh, and El Cid: Enjoy the spotlight while it lasts. It's only a matter of time before he curtain comes down on your little tyranny. And I'm betting that with all the people you're angering, it will probably be a short time. A very time. April 7, 2006 - Well, it looks like the rebellion in Kalmar Islands has brought about a stronger response than we first expected. Some large forces from Perdan are headed north. They haven't told us where we're headed yet. The infantrymen think it might be a boat ride, but that thought makes the cavalry nervous. Apparently their horses don't do well in the heavy seas. They're hoping for a charge across the plains, to take pointy ears for trophies. April 6, 2006 - Special Report! Read the the Rampant Lion's in-depth Analysis of the Kalmar Rebellion! The rebel El Cid, in the Kalmar Islands, is claiming that his rebellion is going to re-establish the realm of Avamar. Any one who bothers to check El Cid's family history can see that this is nothing but a smoke screen. In fact, El Cid was banned from Avamar for inciting a rebellion there. El Cid's purpose in inciting a rebellion is nothing other than an attempt to cause trouble. Queen Lorraine of Perdan has announced that, in the absence of evidence that the rebellion truly carries the support of the majority of the legitimate nobles of the Kalmar Islands, Perdan will support Prometheus and her royalists as the rightful government of the Kalmar Islands. Update: The rebellion in the Kalmar Islands has been successful. El Cid has, yet again, succeeded in sowing strife and discord in his wake. He must surely know that his small tyranny cannot stand against the forces of Perdan and Old Rancagua, the two realms that combined to create the realm of Kalmar Islands after the Great Eruption. Second update: Oracle has started a counter-rebellion aginst El Cid's tyranny. April 5, 2006 - Rebellion in Kalmar Islands? Take a look at this. It appers that El Cid, and his entire family, are nothing but troublemakers where ever they go. I would hope that none of the nobles in the Kalmar Islands would be foolish enough to follow this rogue. April 4, 2006 - The forces of Caligus were defeated yet again by the Yssarians. This is becoming a disturbing trend. In the last five major battles between these two realms, all in Supra, Caligus has been on the losing end of all five of them. April 1, 2006 - It's not everyday that you get to see a new realm formed on the East Island. Today, the city of Fontan seceded from the realm of Fontan, and formed a new theocracy, Light of Fountain led by Lycastus. Two regions joined the city of Fontan in the secession, Negev and An Najaf. Only time will tell if this new fledgling realm will be able to survive and flourish among the military strife and political intrigue of the East Island. |
April 15, 2006 - Small forces from Ibladesh and Itorunt attack the Perdanese and Ubent armies occupying the Ibladesh capital. The forces are quickly surrounded and surrender. The realms of Perdan and Light of Fountain have signed a peace treaty. April 14, 2006 - A small forces from Ibladesh and Itorunt attack the armies of Perdan and Ubent as they continue to sack and loot the city of Ibladesh, capital of Ibladesh. These small forces are ineffective, and are quickly defeated. The PMW, the elite Perdanese battlegroup, attacks the forces of Itorunt and Ibladesh in Itor Boss. The Perdanese defeat their enemies, wounding the Banker of Itorunt in the process. (2,000 vs. 2,000) Sorcha, the Pontifex of Ibladesh is captured by the Perdanese army during their continued sacking of the city of Ibladesh, leaving the realm of Ibladesh without a ruler. Small forces from Ibladesh attack the Perdanese troops in Al Aquabah, but are quickly surrounded and captured. Small forces forces from Itorunt and Ibladesh continue to sacrifice themselves in futil attacks on the Perdanese and Ubentian armies occupying the city of Ibladesh. These forces are rapidly surrounded and defeated. Quake is elected the new Pontifex of Ibladesh. April 13, 2006 - Huge battle fought! The forces of Perdan an Ubent attacked the forces of Ibladesh and Itorunt in Al Aquabah. The attackers vastly outnumbered the defenders, the majority of whom were militia units. (24,000 vs. 8,000) Huge battle fought! The forces of Perdan and Ubent attacked the White City of Ibladesh, the capital city of Ibladesh. In an overwhelming horde, the forces of Perdan and Ubent swarmed over the walls and quickly scattered the few defending forces. In the process, the city walls suffered massive amounts of damage. The king of Itorunt, TK Jones, was wounded in the battle. (18,000 vs. 7,500) Huge battle fought! The forces of Ibladesh and Itorunt attacked the Ubentian militai at the Mines of Isadril. The attackers dispatched the lovcal milita and won the battle. (8,000 vs. 3,000) Fontan has siezed control of Greatbridge from Oligarch. The region of Viseu has left Fontan and joined Light of Fountain. April 12, 2006 - Huge battle fought! The forces of Fontan attacked the Oligarch armies in Montijo. The Oligarch defenders emerged victorious. (6,000 vs. 6,000) Old Rancagua has siezed control of Kazan from the Kalmar Islands. Sir Ashoka, a hero of Perdan, was killed in Enubec in a battle with the forces of Itorunt. April 10, 2006 - Gadlock has revolted, and declared independence from Oligarch. Lady Lilith, the Chancellor and ruler of Fontan has abicated her throne. [OOC: Paused due to inactivity.] Fontan is without a leader! Zedd has been elected thew ruler of Fontan. April 9, 2006 - The rebellion in Kalmar Islands has failed. The tyrant El Cid has retained control of the government. Yssaria has siezed control of Aureaus from Caligus. Oligarch has taken control of the rogue region of Hagley. Uranus, The Curse was executed by Artanis in the Kalmar Islands. Uranus was a relative of Prometheus, former king of Kalmar Islands, who was ousted in the most recent rebellion by El Cid. You can view their family history here. Sotel, an infiltrator from Yssaria was arrested while trying to break into the tax offices in Aix in Perdan. Forces from Sirion have looted the Perdan region of Troyes. April 8, 2006 - Perdan has lowered it's diplomatic relatios with Kalmar Islands from Alliance to Peace. Old Rancagua has decalred war on the Kalmar Islands. April 7, 2006 - Huge battle fought in Supra! The forces of Caligus attacked the forces of Yssaria in Supra. The Caligan attackers were defeated again, and five Caligan nobles were captured. (8,000 vs. 10,000) Old Rancagua has moved their capital from Oroya to Kazakh, on the Kazakh Peninsula. April 6, 2006 - Elutra, an infiltrator from Oligarch, was executed in Sirion. Elutra was previously banned from Sirion for initiating a rebellion in that realm. The government of the Kalmar Islands has been overthrown! El Cid, the leader of the rebellion, has taken control of the new Tyranny. Another rebellion in the Kalmar Islands! Oracle has called for a rebellion against the newly formed tyrannical government of El Cid! April 5, 2006 - Kokanee, Arch Priest of Perdan, has banned Dantalis, of Ibladesh, from the realm of Perdan for his crimes. Rebellion in the Kalmar Islands! El Cid has called for a rebellion against the government! April 4, 2006 - Sirion has taken control of the rogue region of Oberndorf. Kokanee, Arch Priest of Perdan, has banned Keyzer Soze, of Ibladesh, from the realm of Perdan for his crimes. Huge battle fought! Troops from Caligus attacked the forces of Yssaria in Supra. The attackers were outnumbered 2 to 1, and were defeated. Cartor, the Duke of Domus, of Caligus, and two other Caligan nobles were captured. (8,000 vs. 16,000) April 3, 20056 - Huge battle fought! The forces of Oligarch attacked the troops of Fontan in Greatbridge. The attackers were vastly outnumbered and defeated. (6,000 vs. 12,000) Keyzer Soze, and infiltrator working for Ibladesh, was arrested in Woolton during an attempt to break into the tax offices. Dantalis, an infiltrator working for Ibladesh was captured in Al Aquabah, during an assassination attempt on Rippin, a Knight of Perdan. Huge battle fought! Troops from Itorunt and Ibladesh attacked the armies of Ubent in Ar Raqqah. In a close battle, the attackers managed to win the battle. (8,000 vs. 7,000) April 1, 2006 - The people of Kazan have revolted and abandoned Oligarch, joining Kalmar Islands instead. The people of Oberndorf have revolted and declared independence from Sirion! The realm of Oligarch has elected Sakima as its new Prime Minister. The city of Fontan has seceded from the realm of Fontan, and created a new realm! The new realm, Light of Fountain, is a theocracy led by Lycastus. It consists of three regions: Fontan city, Negev and An Najaf. A huge battle was fought in Al Aquabah! The forces of Itorunt and Ibladesh attacked the forces of Perdan and Ubent. The Ibladesh and Itorunt forces were victorious. Two knights and three other nobles of Perdan were captured during the battle, and one knight of Ibladesh was captured.
