The Republic of Fwuvoghor(Pronounced-Foovoghor) was created as an independent state by Dirrik Hobbs, Duke of Fwuvoghor under Enweil rule. He wrote the Articles of Independence himself, with the advice of scholars in the city, to create a government that would not allow the corruption he felt had overcome Enweil's old council. Dirrik was elected the first Prime Minister and served until his death at the hands of monsters. Retravic the Slayer, Duchess of Fwuvoghor, was elected once Dirrik's death was learned of.
+
Era IV
Under Retravic's rule, the Republic changed it's stance drastically in it's stance towards the wars on Beluaterra. Where Dirrik himself had fought alongside Riombara and Irombrozia against Luz de Bia, Retravic disassociated herself from the alliance with Riombara, forging alliances with Irombrozia and Heen, strengthended by her marriage in Enweilios to Hireshmont, then king of Irombrozia. She closed the gates of Fwuvoghor to Fronen, and allied with Enweil, before ultimately declaring war upon Riombara.
+
Fwuvoghor's success attracted many enemies, most notably the traitors Nicolas Chenier and Valachi Stefanovic. Eager for revenge, they lurked in shadows and plotted the demise of the Republic. Using their tool, the religion of the Blood Cult, they waged a proxy war upon the Republic, and at the same time manipulating their respective realms with propaganda against the Republic. Their manipulations led to a crisis with Enweil, chronicled here. Enweil wanted to decide what to do next, and thought a war with a smaller realm like the Republic might be entertaining.

Beowulf Kronos was the next to be elected as ruler of the Republic. Following the acts of aggression by Fwuvoghor, Riombara's allies declared war upon the republic - Avalon, Thalmarkin and finally Fronen all marched to war against Fwuvoghor and her ally, Enweil.
+
It was clear that war with Enweil was imminent, and Avalon would undoubtedly seize the chance to steal back the lands which belonged to the lords who had seceded to RoF. Dead Angel of Avalon, in a brazen move, arbitrarily canceled the treaty with the Republic. Enweil the guardians of the treaty, looked the other way, and instead accused the Republic of not having a timeline to the treaty. A week or two later, war was declared by Enweil and Avalon against the Republic. Enweil had decided to take Fwuvoghor city, and Avalon Zod. The reasons cited by Dead Angel were to "take back stolen lands" and claimed he did not know of any lords ceding to the Republic, which according to him were a figment of drug induced imagination of Premier Mordred. Dead Angel was forced to take back this statement, after it was proved to be in fact a figment of Dead Angel's mind, thanks to the repeated letters from Fwuvoghorians, a few other rulers, and even an Avalonian. Enweil's reasons for war were that they saw the Republic as a tyranny. Ironical that not more than a month ago, there was an political exodus from Enweil after a duke there was appointed on the whim of the ruler rather than the will of the nobles there. Even more ironical is that that some of those refugees joined RoF. A huge Enweilian army had been mobilized in Vilriil, and pounced on Fwuvoghor City. Enweil timed their war declaration so that they were already inside Fwuvoghor walls and running a take over, without a honorable fight with allied Republican and Riombaran men. Enweil troops claimed to be liberators, but started brutally beating the people into submission with their superior troops. Fwuvoghor held on bravely, with thousands of its people falling for the Republic. However, defeat was imminent. Many people left the island or went into retirement, disgusted with the trickery and double dealing of Enweil. Melegra joined Riombara, so as not to fall into the black hands of Enweil. The war effort was concentrated on protecting Zod, and ensuring that the remaining regions joined Hetland, and not into marauding Avalon or Enweil hands. The Republic was outnumbered 10 times by Enweil, and 3 times over by Avalon, but bravely fought on. After a long and grueling siege on Zod by combined Avalonian and Enweilian forces, and with the total destruction of Zod's production and the loss of over 4000 Fwuvoghorian lives, Zod was taken by Avalon. The spirit of Fwuvoghor did not die however, and still flows on in the hearts of the exiles, who have sworn to reform the Republic, and have revenge upon the those who wronged it.

Retravic was re-elected in the month of March, but after being seriously wounded by an assassin, Widfara Exiled was elected Prime Minister of the republic. After dissolving the alliance with Enweil and making moves towards peace, he suffered repeated protests and ulitimately open rebellion, led by Retravic, to set up a monarchy in the place of the republic. The republic is now known as The People's Republic of Fwuvoghor.

With the coming of the Undead to the island, Retravic established both the Military Council and Invasion Control Council. Eventually, after long debates and many fights, it was decided that it would be best to ally with the Undead.

After a prolonged absence, Queen Retratic was replaced by Ben's, the former duke of Fwuvoghor, who confided his region to Felmoure. In his reign not much happened, and things began to deteriorate near the end of his reign, and he stepped down.

Below are the various government documents which are made public:

Felmoure, the duke of Fwuvoghor, was made in turn the new King. With his reign came change, and the first thing he did was reinstate the House of Ministers, which, initially, was made up of four elected (who, coincidentally, were also extremely influential) members of the realm. With it, decisions were then being passed through the house, which while delaying decision-making, made it more democratic. However, two monarchists, the former queen Retravic and her devout supporter, Arch Priest Jean-Olivier, held a considerable power in it, and tensions quickly began to rise as they were constantly opposed to the King Felmoure and Lord Mordred. With these tensions came damage, as Felmoure halted the Arch Priest's access to foreign information, and in turn, the Arch Priest maintained foreign relations of his own, creating a chiasm within the realm. At the end of October (2007), the events came to their climax, as the High Marshal Retravic refused to send the army into Felmoure's perceived suicidary plan. At the same time, the Arch Priest and Earl of Villriil Jean-Olivier was having a heated debate with Felmoure about the realm's relations with the daimon-controlled Sint, as Jean-Olivier had been constantly slandering them and shouting blasphemy to prove their weakness for a considerable ammount of time by then. It all erupted when Felmoure subliminally cast doubts on Jean-Olivier, accusing him of betraying the realms ideal's of respect and tolerance, and ruining relations with realms. Jean-Olivier was quick to react, and this led to him being accused of imposture. To prove his nobility, take back the power he lost, and save Fwuvoghor from the democratic reforms, he forced Felmoure to duel him at the royal palace and declared a rebellion. After a few blows, Jean-Olivier slayed Felmoure and proclaimed himself King. Jean-Olivier started a campaign against Avalon and led several incursions into Zod and Wilwau.

Jean-Olivier's career was shortlived however, and on his return from a failed attempt to take over Zod, he was slain by monsters in Wilwau. Ben's was re-elected king. During King Ben's's reign, the Fwuvoghorian army took over Wilwau and finally signed a cease-fire with Avalon.

Nicolas Chenier, Jean-Olivier's cousin, rebelled seeking to start a Theocracy, but was put down and banned with his most ardent supporter, Capone. Then Mordred rebelled, to end the indecisiveness that had gripped the government, and succeeded in transforming the government into a true republic once more. Thus the government was cleansed, and a new one, a republic, was put into power. The House of Ministers was recreated, and Mordred was appointed the first Premier. Piwani was taken during this period, and the republic bolstered its ranks by at least 7 new nobles.

The Republic is unique across Beluaterra for its restricted powers of government and clear definition of - and protection of - the inherent rights of people. Based on the principles of honor and dignity first laid down in the Order of the Eagle, the slogan used to describe the ideals of the Republic is "Tolerance and Respect" - because with freedom comes the responsibility not to violate the rights of others.

The history of Fwuvoghor is documented into 4 Eras, periods of great change. Below is the summary of what can be found in the historical archives.

It was clear that war with Enweil was imminent, and Avalon would undoubtedly seize the chance to steal back the lands which belonged to the lords who had seceded to RoF. Dead Angel of Avalon, in a brazen move, arbitrarily canceled the treaty with the Republic.
